Any number of contenders would have taken him if the Pirates were so desperate to unload salary. Instead, we had a rather large hole at 3B and the Pirates let us fill it. what teams had a hole at 3B and money to burn at that time in the season? Exactly. While I understand and acknowledge the Aramis could have gone elsewhere, there wasn't exactly a line forming. Bottom line is that Littlefield isn't giving Wilson away this early and certainly isn't going to do so to a team that he still has to play 14 more times.
