  1. Worst for the Braves because along with Salty they sent Alvis Andrus, Neftali Perez, and Matt Harrison.
  2. I don't think stats mean much when it comes to one inning. The "runs allowed in the inning" stat, unfortunately, does. Talk about narrow-mindness thinking...
  3. The Cubs is the worst pinch hitting team but Ward is the best they got...
  4. That was Joe Lieberman. And Billy Crystal was told to wait by the phone. I heard that Garth Brooks has his batting gloves all washed and ironed...
  5. I have Hamilton, and I'd agree, hes most definitely a sell high candidate...BUT, when you have guys that are performing near the top in the league, you should really be targeting guys that came into this year at the top of the league, not guys like Granderson and K Rod (unless you are desperately in need of saves and its a deeper league). I'd never trade Wright for Hamilton, but there are quite a few owners out there that think if a guy has been awesome in the first half, he'll be awesome in the second half. I agree...someone has offered me the following (I have Wright): Wright for McLouth Wright for Ludwick and Nady Wright for Lee and a pitching prospect (actually not bad but I still would rather have Wright - I wanted a different prospect) there were a few others but I forgot them...
  6. I read somewhere that the Cubs coaching is saying that he is hidding the ball better...whatever that means. I guess if you can't see it, you can't hit.
  7. NO!!!! Keep him under 100 pitches, rest him 5 to 6 days between start and we should have a great chance in the playoffs.
  8. Where/when has Harden's velocity decreased? I seen in the beginning of the year before he we was out he was throwing anywhere from 95-98..Then lately they said he's been throwing 90-92 touching 94 sometimes.. Read the Rich Harden post in Cubs Discussions. He hasn't dropped that much in velocity, the media just doesn't know what they are talking about. I saw some of the Sox/As game last week when Harden pitch and from the Gun (it may be inaccurate) he was throwing 92 to 95 FB.
  9. This is from Phil Rogers in the Sunday Trib (no links, sorry): Cleveland has its eye on third baseman Mat Gamel and Taylor Green, along with outfielder Matt LaPorta in any CC Sabathia trade with Milwaukee. There's some speculation the Brewers might include J.J. Hardy as many in the organization feel Alcides Escobar can step in at shortstop.
  10. I think that the total minor leaguers should not exceed 10 even though some who have been drafted are not available in Cbssportsline.com. We should not be allowed more than 10.
  11. Round 3 11.Roady = Michael Iona, P, Dominican Republic The spelling should be Michel not Michael...just in case there is an issue later.
  12. :-s Speaking of tiny bastard: http://www.tmz.com/tmz_highlight_video?bcpid=1185043860&bclid=1184507640&bctid=1630626793
  13. Former Smyrna star Gray says Cubs haven't made serious offer. http://www.dnj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080625/SPORTS08/806250317
  14. Roady selects Christian Friedrich, lhp, Eastern Kentucky in the 2nd round
  15. LHP Randy Keisler, then signs with Baltimore
  16. Roady selects Ethan Martin, 3B/RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers
  17. As far as the draft order? It will be by record, then by points if the records are the same. Thanks
  18. No comment? :?: Don't know what happened...What is the tie-breaker?
  19. - If a player is added to the CBS database after the draft has started (6/12/08, 12:01am), he may not be picked up via FA until after the draft is complete (if not drafted). - The draft order will be based on the standings as of the end of day Tuesday 6/10/08.
  20. Roady is in...
  21. Maybe for the first time, I agree with MM...
  22. Um, Roady made the playoffs last season. #-o Mooch should know because I beat him out by some weird tie-breaker...we both ended up with the same record.
  23. MM, you better check your history...I won in 2006 and I lost to you in the semifinals last year...so please before you say non sense check your facts... I am not the only GM who over values its own players...every GM (real or fantasy) over values their players. 99% out of 100, if I offer anyone Wright for McLouth, it will be accepted because Wright is a better player (real or fantasy) than McLouth.
