  1. Suck it, Iowa.
  2. If they make that kind of deal I am going to be a sad panda.
  3. And Staley might poach Jay Rodgers I guess I don't pay enough attention but it just now dawned on me that is the Jay Rodgers that played QB at IU when I was in school. The main thing I remember about Jay is running into him drunk one night outside a bar wearing my Bears hat and him yelling DA BEARS. Then he later became a Bears coach. Interesting only to me, I suppose. lol
  4. Archie Miller advances to 0-8 against Purdue. Good job coach. :stickman:
  5. Don't know if it has been mentioned yet but ESPN1000Chicago on Twitch has a stream of Waddle, Jurko and Carmen watching the game at Carmen's house. I kind of enjoy it hearing their uncensored reactions, a few f bombs being dropped lol.
  6. The Eagles needed to see more of Hurts than the 3rd stringer. Sudfield was absolutely abysmal though. With that said, the Giants were 6-10 and have no one to blame but themselves. I didn't like the change simply because I wanted to see a 6-10 team make the playoffs as a division champion. My dream, ruined. Thanks Doug Pederson!
  7. They needed to figure out if Nate Sudfeld is a better backup QB option than Wentz. :hello:
  8. Yeah with Ryan Day as the alleged #2 target. :-k
  9. Woohoo they backed into one more week of disappointment and failure! :yahoo:
  10. One of the great failures of Indiana football in my lifetime is that they did not invest in the football program when Bill Mallory was winning a lot of games. He got IU to 6 bowl games in 8 years but it wasn't until like 15 years after his firing that they started investing in better facilities and upgrading the stadium.
  11. Not that I am making excuses for him but it was not re-assuring to see him shaking his throwing arm after nearly every play in the 2nd half. Maybe the 3rd string should have gotten some reps. A full strength game for both sides would have been interesting. Ole Miss was down 3,049 yards and 28 TD's with their top 4 skill players out. Their offense today was a complete shell of itself. I didn't even know who some of those guys were out there. I saw that about Ole Miss and obviously it doesn't make me feel any better about today. Lane is a crafty guy though so I am not surprised they still got production. Penix is incredibly dynamic and special. If only he could stay healthy...part of me wants the Bears to end up drafting him.
  12. It doesn't change my mind about them deserving a better bowl game but yeah to make such a big deal about it and then lose to the sub-.500 team isn't a good look. If IU can keep going to bowl games every year instead of once every 25 years (like it used to be) then they are bound to win one eventually, right? :stickman:

  14. The throw Fitzpatrick completed tonight with his helmet being twisted off...like, how is that even possible? The ultimate no look pass. https://www.nfl.com/videos/fitzpatrick-somehow-completes-clutch-deep-ball-while-getting-facemasked
  15. Carolina is in one because the ACC has a contract with the Orange Bowl for its best non playoff team. That's also why Virginia was in the game last year over a whole bunch of more deserving teams. Iowa State is still in there because the committee ranked them higher. Couldn't tell you why. Barta from Iowa said something about Iowa State had more quality wins. But...they also lost 3 games. Indiana lost ONE game and it was to the #3 team in the final ranking. As an IU fan I am pretty frustrated with the entire process. Granted, I never in a million years expected to be discussing College Football Playoff frustrations in regards to my school. 2020 sure has the market on strangeness cornered.
  16. Hate to burst your bubble but he wasn't a good PC in Cincy or Mia. he'll probably suck here too, but the non-zero chance of improving is better than getting more of what we already know in Nagy That is my thought process as well. I'm buried deep in a mound of apathy so I will take any minute chance of improvement as an excuse to waste 3 more hours of my life on Monday night. :hello:
  17. Watching this game felt like it was just draining the life out of me.
  18. I think Harbaugh is as good as you are going to get unless UM could land Urban somehow (imagine the troll value there).
  19. I got in at +6 even. Kind of surprised there isn't more action on the Bears.
  20. Don't care :old_alright:
  21. Great win for IU! :stickman: :stickman: :stickman:
  22. Yeah I mean on most plays it looks like he is running straight into a brick wall before he even crosses the LOS.
  23. Yeah I kept telling myself they still had a chance only because it was the Lions and the Lions do Lions things. And it happened yet again.
  24. I thought Bote was going deep for a half second there.
  25. Let's keep beating the Cardinals. I like that.
