    I'm not sure how Minnesota even has a better % odds. Bears should be favored to beat Detroit, Green Bay with something to play for should be favored to beat Minnesota. Obviously I don't know what all feeds into that % equation but on face value, I'd say I like the Bears chances.

    I was joking about grades before but maybe it is? If it was an injury wouldn't they just say it? Maybe whatever it is isn't final yet? Like being appealed? Maybe he got caught smoking some tree? I have no idea. It definitely doesn't seem like an injury situation.

    The team last season had actually become fairly watchable until Dempster & Maholm were traded, then it became a train wreck to watch. Vitters & Jackson getting called up was exciting at first but after seeing both guys struggle badly, that feeling of excitement wore off quickly. Also, saying that you want to see the Cubs be a little more active improving the 2013 team doesn't mean HEY GO SPEND A BILLION DOLLARS LIKE THE ANGELS & DODGERS. It isn't an all or nothing proposition.

    Because the difference in draft picks between losing out and winning the division is insignificant? Because when you have two playmakers on offense, and a defense that, today's aberration aside, can shut down teams, if you win the division you like your chances winning 2 straight? Because only weirdos that like seeing teams tank get any enjoyment out of losing? Because the GM we have now isn't the one we had blowing draft picks in the past? cubbyvirus is the Bears fan equivalent of Aramis Fan. If he isn't miserable with his fandom then something is amiss.
