Going to straight up best 6 records in each conference and not giving auto bids to division winners would be better, imo. I'd never want to see a scenario where winning your division does not guarantee a playoff berth. It would be a lot easier to just seed the playoff eligible teams by overall record or just make a rule that the best record in each matchup gets the home field regardless of seeding (isn't that how the NBA currently does it?).

It is going to be a long Big Ten season for Indiana. The turnover issue isn't improving. The half-court offense is pretty much screwed if they can't get the ball to Noah. They can't really space out the defense since nobody can reliably shoot the three (yeah Yogi hits some and Will too but that isn't enough). How the hell is Johnny Marlin seeing court time in this game outside of garbage time? Daniel Moore thinks he could take this guy! Crean really, really needs Noah to return for a second year. The hell is the deal with Jeremy Hollowell? He seems to have regressed?

Those two passes were terrible but I felt like Noah should have been in the game at that point for both plays. Not excusing Yogi's bad decisions, just stating how frustrated I was that Noah wasn't on the court at that point. He left the court with his 4th foul just under the 4 minute mark and did not re-enter the game until 48 seconds left. That is too long to wait, imo.

Didn't they end up with more turnovers then made field goals? I wish Crean would have used a timeout on the final possession of regulation. Gordon more or less dribbled out the clock to take an awkward shot. Also I didn't like the amount of time Vonleh was on the bench in the final 3 minutes of regulation in addition to the OT but...whatever. Overall IU did better than I expected. But it is still going to be a long Big Ten season methinks.

Sucks to hear Fischer is leaving. :( It will be interesting to see if any further details about the driving force behind his decision leaks out.

Yeah just letting him walk would be unbelievably stupid. I think he will be back on some kind of extended deal. But if not, I trust Emery will at least get something for him.

What are the odds that the 2014 team can approach 80 wins? Is that dreaming the impossible dream? Obviously the full roster isn't set yet but...not being totally boned by the end of April would be a nice change of pace.

CREAN AND CRIMSON! I don't know what to think at this point but my faith in Crean as a coach is wavering a bit. He can certainly recruit but man...I feel like he is rolling out his own version of Dusty's dugout dice when it comes to substitutions and game situations.

I'm going to have a glorious day at work tomorrow. Not only do I work with an obnoxious Cowboys fan, I am playing him in fantasy football this week and just blew him out of the playoffs with...Josh McCown as my QB. Double win! :lol: -
Titans got hosed on a personal foul called on a hit on Decker imo. It was shoulder to shoulder at the moment the ball arrived, is that illegal now too?

Yeah something like that. And I think that by beating Dallas that season, it was the only playoff win for the franchise in a long, long time. I still remember Wayne Fontes smoking a victory cigar as he was interviewed at the halftime of the Bears-49ers MNF game to end the 1991 season. The Bears were getting killed and that loss clinched the division for Detroit. I was so pissed at him. Then the following season Detroit opened the season in Chicago and Harbaugh led an improbable final drive which culminated in a Harbaugh to Waddle game-winning TD pass on 4th down...yes I'm old lol. But I enjoyed that season-opening win. Of course that Bears team fell to pieces after a decent start (4-3) and Ditka got fired. Beating down the Steelers in Singletary's last home game was also memorable.

I believe the Bulls made the playoffs with a 30-52 record during the early Jordan years. That has to be the record I would think. How about worst record for a division champion? Toronto leads the Atlantic division with a 6-10 record, lol.
