  1. I have to admit between some of the draft surprises and the recent FA/trade activity, this feels like a much more interesting NBA off-season than normal.
  2. So when it came out earlier that he was headed to Houston, all these alleged reasons leak about how he wasn't comfortable with D'Antoni, didn't want to be second fiddle to Kobe and thought Nash was on his last legs. That would be so funny if he changes his mind over money. Oh hey guys, j/k about all that stuff.
  3. Farewell Feldmania, it was real. :old_alright:
  4. If the Cubs lose I'm blaming you for jinxing it after I finally got my first win starting a game thread. :P
  5. The Pirates have the best record in baseball? Maybe this is not news but I kind of don't follow the standings very much when the Cubs are bad.
  6. Win it for me! I can't take this oh-fer status any longer.
  7. Are there any good message board sources of Bruins game thread misery out there?
  8. I'm going to be totally useless at work tomorrow. But it is worth it. Wow. :stickman:
  9. Toronto fans had to enjoy that ending sequence.
  10. Did that just [expletive] happen? WOW. WOW. WOW. Holy [expletive]. WOW. :stickman:
  11. As best I can tell from limited research: 5/10/1997 5 NL Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants 1-2 8*-5*-4* 5th inning with runners at 1st and 2nd. Off the top of my head, I knew they turned one on 30 Sept 1962 vs the Mets...... but I wasn't sure if they had done it since. Thanx. The combo: TP: 1. B McRae-J Hernandez-R Sandberg. And the Cubs...lost that game 4-2. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SFN/SFN199705100.shtml

  13. Oh god, two grand slams and the Astros are right back in this game! :banghead:
  14. I really wish the Astros were still in our division.
  15. It was just one eye, I mean psssssh. That is why you have two of them in case somebody shoots one out.

    Castro

Theo was on Waddle & Silvy today and he discussed Castro. What he said did make sense to me. That Starlin was called up to the big leagues fairly quickly and this has been his first real experience with failure and needing to make adjustments...which presumably would normally happen during the minor league journey and not at the major league level.
  17. Be right back, need to wash my shorts.
  18. They both make me sick. And then all the talk about Lebron being as good as Jordan. Not even close. I would rank Dr. J and Magic Johnson ahead of Lebron too. Hell, put Kareem on that list too. And Fred Hoiberg. Duh.
  19. I missed this entire game until the start of 2nd OT (had tickets to a concert tonight)...FFS the Hawks need to win this. I figured the game would have been long decided by the time I got home.
