    He hit it pretty well. It took a diving effort by Utley to keep it on the infield. i'm watching on terrible mlb.tv, but wasn't it a weak chopper off the end of the bat? Compared to the usual level of contact I've seen Castro make this season, it looked like a rocket so maybe I'm overplaying it lol.

    barney got hit by a pitch. ump said it hit the bat first. it didn't. renteria argued but apparently couldn't challenge it. That is a play that can be challenged though.

    WGN TV? Because there is horrible crackling audio on mine. yeah, WGN. I don't have it up loud but can hear the voices fine, and when I did turn it up there was nothing weird. Not having any issue here either.

    Not sure if it's a gift since they have to work for it, but I imagine it will be taxable. That is what I have been thinking. If the scholarships for these players is going to start being classified as compensation as an employee of the university there would have to be some kind of tax implications I would think.

    Etherington is going to transfer now too. I've heard rumors that there might be 1-2 more? Basketball in the state of Indiana is a mess right now. Hollowell and Marlin are rumored to be next. Looks like Hollowell is gone officially, Eron Harris gone from WVU too. Yep, along with Johnny Basketball!

    I feel like this is cut and pasted from one of illiniguy's rants in years past just with the team names changed (subbing in MSU for Kansas). With Dayton beating Syracuse I'd say the illiniguy version can be put back in play. :P

    All depends on the outcome of the PSU-Minnesota game. EDIT: According to KP FanMatch, there's a 70% chance that it'll be Indiana and Illinois on Thursday. Minnesota is blowing out PSU so yeah.

    Glad Jeff Howard is graduating so Crean can't put him in games anymore. Of course, I'm sure some other walk-on scrub will take his place and become the ceremonial Daniel Moore v3.0. :stickman:

    Absolutely insane that IUs last 5 games are @ Wisc, vs. Iowa, vs. Ohio State, @ Nebraska, @ Michigan. I know the Iowa game is rescheduled but still. They host Nebraska. Already customarily blew a double-digit lead in Lincoln. I think they will find a way to beat Nebraska end up 6-12. Maybe even beat Iowa or Ohio State for 7-11 (the customary out-of-nowhere random inspired performance). Then probably lose on Thursday in the Big Ten tourney.

    I can't imagine anyone expected this team to be on the bubble for the NIT. Maybe the NCAA bubble, sure. I thought they would be .500ish in the conference and win around 20 games with a 8/9 type of NCAA seed. At worst maybe 18 wins needing a little B1G tourney run. The roster is simply poorly constructed. Losing our outside shooting has cost us the ability to spread the defense out and keep it honest which would free up more success for driving the basket and feeding Noah in the post. Also the 2012 class outside of Yogi has been quite frankly very disappointing. I was expecting Hollowell to improve but he has regressed. Peter is useless. Hanner is still so raw. No Patterson. The 2013 class looks more promising but if Noah leaves then that hurts for next season. If he returns I think we could bounce back but overall I just don't feel real strongly about next season being the kind of rebound season the fan base will expect after a season this rough.
