  1. Thom Brenneman and Brantley blow. Nice to get a lead. Ted Lilly is FIRE! 8-)
  2. The only chance Ohio State had was to be hot from downtown. That is their bread and butter and well, their shooting tonight reminds of a entire team of Bracey Wrights.
  3. Lofton at 3rd with 2 outs. Texiera needs to reach here. Wow, great catch by Sarge Jr to rob Texiera. Sammy will lead off the 2nd inning for Texas.
  4. Rangers on ESPN2 tonight, awesome! :D LET'S GO SAMMY!!!!!!! Hey there is Kenny Lofton getting his 600th steal.
  5. LET'S GO HOYAS! :D
  6. If Florida wins, I'll have picked 3 of the 4 correctly. I've never done that well. My only mistake was Texas.
  7. I realize both teams had a lot of steals but man Kansas was playing like the ball was greased with vaseline. I'm feeling a Florida-UCLA rematch in one national semfinal. 8-)
  8. Bruce Pearl is crying a river on the postgame press conference about Lofton only shooting one free throw in 2 games against OSU this year. Not saying I blame him necessarily, more of an observation.
  9. The shot would not have counted anyways, it was still in his hand when the red light went off.
  10. With a kiss.....lingering lingerie! I reckon this game has been worth staying up too late and dranking on some beers. Hopefully it comes down to the last shot as time expires, may as well get the money's worth.
  11. Lofton was all but ready to transfer before Bruce came in. Once he saw what Bruce was about, he and JaJuan Smith decided to stay. Bruce is a terrific coach and motivator, no doubt about it. From what I understand, UK and the Ville didn't even recruit the kid?
  12. I wish Gus Johnson was announcing these games. I didn't realize Gus did the Knicks radio games until recently. The Score interviewed him this past week and I caught it on the radio.
  13. I can't remember the last time I watched a college basketball game and thought "gee those refs did a swell job!" 8-) I'll always insist Bob Knight hit it dead on with the "relax and enjoy it" remark. Not much you can do, the refs are just bad a lot of times.
  14. UT with the strong start. I thought tOSU would come out blazing after the close call with X. Bruce Pearl is an awesome coach. Holy cow, was that a double hop step with no travel called?
  15. Bill Rafferty wants to see Bruce Pearl "get hot". I"m telling ya, if Bill ever got caught in a Marv Albert type of situation I would not be surprised.
  16. Not completely. i still don't believe in refs deciding games. it's easy to say refs are calling against your team when you're biased for your team. same goes with people saying announcers hate their team. they only hear the bad things about their team and not the other I want KU to win. So how am I being biased? all i'm saying is that if SIU loses, it will be due to missed layups, not the refs and there's no guarantee they lose if KU keeps shooting free throws like the Illini (sorry, couldn't help myself) So the game wouldn't be different if they waved off Julian Wright's dunk in the first half and got the goaltending call when Tatum was fouled in the second half? In such a close game, that could have been the difference - SIU isn't afforded the chances that KU was. Meh, SIU has had plenty of chances tonight. Missing two layups at point blank off that one steal was probably the turning point against them. No doubt, but it's a different game if the refs make the right call on those two plays. It's a different game if SIU makes more open shots and layups too. *shrugs*

Missing two layups at point blank off that one steal was probably the turning point against them. They got screwed out of 4 points and lost by 3. Missed layups or not, that isn't right. At the end of the game if a team is left blaming the refs over some calls then they didn't do enough themselves to win the game. It's pretty cut and dry in my eyes. SIU also missed a lot of open 3 balls. The opportunities were there.

  19. Kansas isn't exactly stellar at the line, I'd say SIU still has a good chance but no margin for error now.
  20. Crunchtime! Tough free throw miss. :? Wow, great break! Misses them both but KU can't rebound. 8-)
  21. Did it? I didn't think so but I also did not get a good look at the replay. Is that something the refs can review during the timeout?
  22. SIU has done a great job of getting themselves in position to win. It's their pace, their kind of game. Now they just need to hit some daggers down the stretch to seal it.
