  1. Geaux Oral Bob! 8-)
  2. Try having Mega March Madness and they switched to the not even close final seconds of the Tech-BC game while the the MD-UD game is still within 3 points. I didn't pay $69 for that!
  3. Davidson running out of steam. Meh. Good bye Texas Tech, better luck next year RMK.
  4. Why is it ridiculous? People are jumping to conclusions based on one game. Do you say a baseball hitter sucks because he goes 0-4 with 4 K's one day? Of course not. He had one bad day just like Stanford is having one bad game. I didn't think Stanford should be in before today. I'm pretty sure everyone else who thinks that Stanford shouldn't be in also believed that before they played Louisville. Bingo!
  5. Agreed. But hey the selection committee does make mistakes. Teams that leave themselves vulnerable to the whims of the bubble can't complain too much though.
  6. That would be awesome! I picked that matchup in one of my brackets. 8-)
  7. Dell Curry's kid is good. He inherited his father's sweet shot. :D
  8. Pac 10 overhype :P Yep.
  9. Stanford deserved to get in, they're just playing horrible right now. Just because a team plays poorly in the first game doesn't mean that team didn't deserve a berth. Conversely, just because a team wins their first round game or plays well doesn't mean they necessarily deserved a spot in the tournament. Same goes for the teams that were left out. Just because Drexel lost their first round NIT game doesn't mean that they didn't deserve to play in the NCAA tournament. Oh, and just to clarify, this only goes for the bubble teams. Um, I said I didn't think Stanford deserved to be in before the game even started. And I said they have done nothing today to change that opinion. So your point doesn't apply to me.
  10. Well when the brackets came out I wondered why Stanford got in there and now I just have to scratch my head that much more. :?
  11. Davidson over Maryland! Woot! :D
  12. I love the Hoosiers but I just don't have a good feeling about this game. :?
  13. Or Markus Paul. WOOT!
  14. Nope. I just checked my program guide. Damn. Thanks. No problem. This will be my first full baseball season with HDTV so I'm looking forward to some HD broadcasts! It sure made the Bears season that much sweeter seeing all those games in HD. 8-) Once you do HD you never go back. Just about every major TV program broadcasts in HD now. Tell me about it. I had to replace my TV a couple times and having to switch back to regular TV was painful.
  15. Maybe it's safe to say that Lou does understand the importance of this rivalry? :D
  16. OMG we aren't batting Izturis 2nd? OH NOEZ WHAT IS HAPPENING? Oh wait, I need to change my avatar since that dude isn't around anymore.
  17. Nope. I just checked my program guide. Damn. Thanks. No problem. This will be my first full baseball season with HDTV so I'm looking forward to some HD broadcasts! It sure made the Bears season that much sweeter seeing all those games in HD. 8-)
  18. Indiana vs Illinois one more time? I like it. 8-) GO BIG RED! Kind of concerned about IU, they fizzled down the stretch after beating Wisconsin at the midway mark. 6-2 start, 4-4 finish and some bad road losses. :?
  19. Great win for the Hoosiers today. 8-) 7-3, 17-6. Not bad at all. It's refreshing to have a real coach again.
  20. The America's Game on the 1985 Bears has me plenty ready. I still don't think the impact of being in the Super Bowl again has fully hit me yet. I don't think that will happen fully until tomorrow sometime. Maybe the player introductions.
  21. I think at some point Hester has to break loose or at least find a few holes to give the Bears good field position. And Hester's still a wild card. I have no idea what the pressure of the Super Bowl is going to do to him. If he starts bobbling the ball it could be trouble. I'm pretty worried about that... I don't think pressure bothers him, 4/6 of his returns have been in prime time, obviously this is prime time x10. I think his drops are more lack of concentration. I think he at least breaks one for a big return like you. It would be great if he returned the opening kick off though :D As long as Devin doesn't get the "Ted Ginn" ankle twist treatment in the end zone afterward.
  22. Regarding the difference in how the Colts and Bears are approaching their arrival and preparations for Super Bowl week, I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like either team has been here before. Dungy has never led his team to a Super Bowl so he is just taking the approach he thinks makes sense. Likewise with Lovie Smith. Barrett Robbins was bi-polar, his Super Bowl experience wouldn't have mattered regardless of what the Raiders may have done. And btw that game was played in San Diego not Miami. Didn't Robbins end up passed out in Tijuana or some such place? My only concern is Tank Johnson for obvious reasons but I'd have to think the team will take every measure to prevent him from getting in trouble. Speaking of trouble, didn't the 1985 team go completely wild and enjoy the Super Bowl experience in New Orleans? Or for another example you can look at the Raiders-Eagles Super Bowl back in the early 80's. The Raiders lived it up and had a good time. The Eagles played it strict and to the vest. The final result worked out for Oakland. 8-)
  23. Nah, ignorance is bliss. Not much you can do in that situation. Here in Indiana, there is a contingent of Colts fans who seem to feel like anyone in the state who is still a Bears fan is somehow a traitor or whatnot . Nevermind the fact that the Colts didn't move here until 1984 and the Bears have existed since 1919. Those people need to be stabbed with plastic forks. Besides, I've grown to like the Colts as my favorite AFC team. I usually pull for them but not when they play the Bears! 8-) But fortunately, Fort Wayne has remained primarily Bears country. The local FOX station put out an advertisement congratulating the Bears on their great season. :D
  24. Bear down, Chicago Bears! Make every play clear the way to victory! Bear down, Chicago Bears! Put up a fight with a might so fearlessly! We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T formation. Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown You're the pride and joy of Illinois. Chicago Bears, bear down!
