  1. Stay classy USC.
  2. Signing Renteria would be worth it if Mike Fontenot was allowed to dig his spikes into him a few times as an initiation ritual. Oh and a forearm to the face for good measure.
  3. Oh look Orton threw another pick but hey, our meathead fan base won't hold him accountable for it because his name isn't Rex Grossman.
  4. It was a horrible pass, but lets stop with the Rex crap, he just broke a Bears record for most throws without an INT! Not for lack of effort by Kyle, it is just Kyle usually throws the ball so badly that even the defense cannot catch it.
  5. Word of warning, trolling will get you banned. That wasn't trolling. Not even close.
  6. Texas-OU rematch for the title? That would go over well in SEC country I'm sure. lol
  7. Agreed on Dumes. He needs to settle down. The report on Verdell is that his tests at the hospital came out negative. Just a headache for a while I guess. He was knocked out cold on that pick. Cornell was favored to win that game. IU wins by 15. Randy Whittman's son was on fire for a while there.....finished with 28 points which was almost half of Cornell's points. Now it's back to the woodshed with games against Wake Forest and Gonzaga forthcoming. :(
  8. oh yeah they did Yes, I can vouch for this. The Ramirez/Lofton trade was met with a lot of mixed emotions and the overall tone at the time was negative. The Lofton part of the trade excited me at the time. I sure don't remember any mixed emotions. It seems to me that everyone (including the writers) thought that the Cubs were the big winners in the deal. I'm just talking about the reaction here on NSBB. I distinctly recall more than a little negative reaction here. I was surprised because I considered it a pretty good deal at the time.

  10. Either Lovie needs to go or he needs to hire new coordinators.
  11. Hey, I got an idea: If you are going to post rumors on the Internet, GROW THICKER SKIN. Oh boo hoo some mean people criticized you.
  12. How shocking, an Illini fan with a negative view on Indiana basketball. Bruce Weber is still coaching Ilinois right? Just making sure. You do realize he doesn't have any Bill Self recruits left to lean on. How funny. SSR gives his opinion on IU basketball, and gives reasons behind it, and an IU fan gets upset. Oh and by the way, Weber has his best recruiting clases coming in so keep up that Bill Self stuff because its about to be laid to rest in the next 2 years. I figured you would not disappoint. :clapping: Keep telling yourself that.

  14. TD HOOOOOOOOOSIERS!!!! \:D/
  15. Well when I say "contender" I'm definitely not saying that I expect a Final Four appearance or even a Big Ten title but I think they will be "in the mix".
  16. i just don't see iowa being relevant in any big ten discussion. if it happens, i'll be extremely surprised. there are just other teams that have more going for themselves. I really think that it will be OSU and Illinois going for it in a few years. They are both going to be loaded. But, I also think that Purdue, Wisky, MSU, and even Minnesota will be pretty goodd again.s exciting to have the big ten getting good again. i think purdue is there to stay, i think msu is going nowhere, osu gets every single good player on earth, wisco will continue to contend with whomever they bring in and they're fairly loaded with incoming players, and minnesota is absolutely on their way back up in terms of recruiting. there just isn't any room for iowa at the table, although it would be good for the big ten. As much as I hate to say it Indiana will be back sometime in the next three years or so. Crean can recruit and a lot of players seem to be in on the rebuilding/restoring IU idea. As I told my roommates last year the Big Ten is ridiculous right now with its coaches especially recruiting wise. Tubby, Painter, Matta, Crean, Weber, Beilein, Izzo and Ryan are considered great recruiters and winning coaches. Crean has assembled a Top 10 class for 2009 thus far. I expect us to be a factor next season.
  17. My boss is a Cubs fan and he was wondering if MLB has to approve the sale of a minority interest to a particular individual? In other words, if Zell sold say 49% to Cuban would that be a way to kind of sneak him in the door...with the intent of selling Cuban the remaining 51% later? That might qualify as "grasping at straws" but hey, it sounds interesting in theory.
  18. Penn State vs Indiana will be a blood bath. There is a good chance Mitchell Evans will get the majority of the reps at QB due to injuries to Kellen Lewis and Ben Chappell. Mitchell had been playing safety for us....actually he got hurt on Saturday too. Crap, I don't even know if we have a QB now. lol
  19. in other words, "i don't really understand the rule well enough to explain my position" I understand the rule--which is why I know it was the correct call. You aren't as smart as you think you are. FYI.
  20. I thought the PI call was extremely weak.
  21. Don't dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back. ;)
  22. Hoping for information and opinions? Does the following sound like a plea for debate? Yet the OP complains about the response he gets. Go figure.
  23. Lavin?
  24. Indiana beat a ranked team in football. Weird.
