  1. I really don't know what to say. I could understand a ref trying to protect himself but he freaking threw his shoulder into the guy and looked like he was playing LB in doing so. It's like he lines him up and makes the hit. \:D/ Bad ass ref.
  2. Northwestern 60 Indiana 3
  3. 21-7
  4. Wow our defense is HORRIBLE today. :banghead:
  5. Pho sho I was really hoping to save the heavy drinking for later but oh well.
  6. Yes, our defense without Tillman and Vasher is sensational. Yay, we let the Viqueens march right down the field. The same Vikings offense that struggled to score against Detroit last week. Yes, that is awesome.
  7. TBS did not have the feed for a while.........power outage or something I guess. Leave it to TBS.
  8. How are you watching that game? For some reason, Big 10 network is showing the Steve Harvey show as well. I have Comcast in the Chicago area. Nah, Illinois vs Indiana is on the Big Ten Network here in Fort Wayne....I have Directv.
  9. I'm in a live chat for the IU-Illinois football game and somebody said Turner had a power outage in Atlanta and that is why the game is not on right now.
  10. Um........Michigan can't possibly beat Penn State again this year right?
  11. Don't worry about Indiana. Seriously........just don't. We suck. :banghead:
  12. Also I'm just going to cheer for Penn State going forward. I would like to see JoePa in another title game. \:D/ IU blows terribly hard. :banghead:
  13. Looks like Okie State-Mizzou is the hot game now. Although LSU did manage to get on the board.
  14. The 2003 Cubs had a great month of September and entered the playoffs on a roll. I think that makes a difference too. The 2008 Cubs really struggled at the beginning of the month, righted the ship a bit, then that last week with nothing to play for....they just kind of muddled about. And they probably did play looser too. Not only the Dusty factor but heck, the first round they faced an Atlanta team that won over 100 games. The Cubs had what, 87-88 wins? I mean people did give that team a chance based on Prior and Wood but they were generally the underdogs and also a hot team.
  15. I couldn't believe my eyes. But even the average Bear receivers were getting plenty of separation which made the throws easier. But still, Kyle has been throwing he ball much better lately. Nice work Kyle. Roy Williams is a terrible teammate. Yep ole Roy was a real douche out there today. That is where the head coach needs to come over to the guy and just tell him to shut his trap......in colorful language.
  16. Unless you want to say the Reds won the World Series in 1990 because Lou and Rob Dibble got in a fight.
  17. Yeah I guess Lou could be like Larry Bowa and burn his guys out with the yelling. I'm trying to remember all the World Series winning managers with angry RMK style tirades.....not remembering too many off hand. Not publicly anyways. Behind close doors might be a different story.
  18. That would be pointless and dumb. Why would it be? Show the team that you are sick of their piss poor performance and it's not acceptable. But my guess you haven't been in a dugout like myself so you wouldn't know. Oh lord, another ex jock with the "inside knowledge" lol. Hilarious.
  19. Now it is football season with basketball right around the corner. No thoughts of baseball here until March.
  20. A sweep is not heart breaking, it is just disgusting. I only really felt bad after Game 1.....after that, taking the next 2 losses was easy. Not enjoyable but I kind of reserved myself to reality a bit.
  21. Lee? You mean the guy who batted .545 in the series? Yeah let's dump him. Good call. :-k
  22. I can't imagine the Dodgers would feel great about having to head back to Chicago for a Game 5 after winning the first two games. I don't think the logic is all that shaky. But I do think it is more about the Cubs mindset than the Dodgers. People can say what they want, the Cubs have the better overall team. They have been playing tight. If they can get a win tonight and play well in doing so, I think they will relax and play more like the team we all followed for 161 games.
  23. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-081003-chicago-cubs-zambrano-game-5-starter,0,4456418.story Too bad Dusty did not take this approach in 2003.
