Seems a little bit more than a slight obsession. I mainly only lurk in the game threads. That is what I base my impressions on. I just felt like speaking up on 17's behalf. Years ago, I used to have a personal beef with him on these forums. We worked it out. I'm pretty sure he loves the Cubs as much as anyone else and as far as venting goes, I vent a lot about this team during games myself but I don't often post it here. It just seems like a bunch of trivial nonsense over nothing really. Not that I really expect anyone to value my opinion that much but I felt moved to speak up.

At this rate your attempts to call him out are just as dumb and deserve to be called out. First of all, he called me out. Secondly, nah. He should quit posting dumb horsefeathers if he doesn't want called out. I can fully understand why he calls you out give how you behave here.

Venting frustration about Bryant's lack of homers or Chatwood sucking all the ass or Rizzo running hot and cold =/= hating the team I don't bitch about that stuff. It's 17 seconds' continual doom-and-gloom posts that are dumb and deserve called out. At this rate your attempts to call him out are just as dumb and deserve to be called out. People vent during game threads. You making it your personal vendetta to call people out is cringe-worthy.

The Saturday game was the worst. Sitting in the RF bleachers with a bunch of redneck homer Reds fans who were all chesty and had horrible opinions about everything.

Why? Because I'm a fan of a team that has played 19 seasons without ever getting out of the first round, and Vegas could win the cup on their first try. Gotcha. When the Marlins and Diamondbacks had won the World Series while I was still waiting for the Cubs to break through, I had a similar annoyed feeling.
