  1. So he got his hair done between innings? :-))
  2. Little early for that, since it would only be .5/gm up if it works out. I still can't get too excited about the standing yet. Long way to go, lots of injuries need to heal, and the Cubs need to put together an extended streak of good baseball to have any hopes of accomplishing anything. We are starting to do that. Nice play. I guess I need to see it against someone other than Washington and the Reds before I get too riled up. Really aside from first game of the Philly series they did not play that badly there. Just could not score runs in the 2nd game which is what stood between them and a series win.
  3. Okay back to back warning track fly balls........not cool.
  4. Are they on the South Beach Diet or something? it seems like reds relievers are always fat. I always found it to be strange that one of the fattest former Reds relievers (Todd Coffey) was the guy who sprinted from the bullpen to the mound. He must have been trying to burn off the case of Ho Ho's that he ate during the first 6-7 innings.
  5. Are they on the South Beach Diet or something? Judging by David Weathers I would say no.
  6. Wow Owings was fooled bad on that one. \:D/
  7. Yeah I don't doubt our ability to score quite a few runs today.
  8. Hopefully Tom Crean can land Kyrie Irving. \:D/ I'm setting my Indiana expectations for this season at 12-14 wins. Maybe they can surprise me. Key thing is Maurice Creek being eligible......still waiting on that front although Crean has said both Creek and Bawa are "doing what they need to do" to make it.
  9. Even Kevin Hart can have a decent AB.
  10. Great job Koyie. Simply fantastic.
  11. Yeah that AB was frustrating. :banghead:
  12. Edited for brinoch's sanity. :)
  13. Favre fans are hilarious. That is all.
  14. Yes I'm sure the great hitters of past eras would totally not take advantage of modern advances in sports medicine and workout routines if they happened to be born a few decades later.
  15. I think Vance might have scared him off. :hello:
  16. I feel about the same way. He can scare me and look ugly fielding the ball as long as he is getting the outs. I think overall he has held his own defensively as far as not being the complete nightmare everyone claimed he would be before he was called up. OMG YOU CAN'T LET JAKE FOX PLAY IN THE FIELD OMG OH NOEZ. Yeah, he is not THAT bad.
  17. At least he made the play. Yes he scares me too.
  18. Hoffpauir now 1-2 in the INNING.
  19. When Kevin Hart drives in a run I think it is our day.
  20. He OPS+'ed 136 in 2006, with a .911 OPS while having a 40/40 season. If Dustin Pedroia's 2008 was MVP caliber, Soriano's 2006 damn sure was too. I'm getting pretty sick of all this bitching about Soriano. People just can't seem to get the idea that complaining about someone doesn't matter. It doesn't change anything. He has the contract, so we have him for another couple of years. Might as well support him while he's here. You and me both. Yes his contract is bad. It was bad when he signed it. It is bad now. Oh well. It is what it is. He has produced in his first two seasons here and while his 3rd season has been rocky I am willing to bet he gets those numbers back up there by September.
