    On Saturday I watched the Reds broadcast for a while in order to see the game in HD and their TV guys seemed to think Marmol's mechanics were off........granted he mowed them down 1-2-3 in that particular inning but they were talking about his mechanics looking askew and attributing that to his lack of control this season. Now granted they are probably idiots but still I have to believe it is something in his mechanics for him to struggle for control this long.

    Meet badnews. We should work out a trade for Josh Hamilton and watch his head explode. Josh Hamilton AND Soriano, that would be epic. :-)) Some people will never get over the amount of money that Soriano makes. It is a shame because he has added more positive than negative since becoming a Cub. He contributes to the team. Do I wish his contract was more reasonable? I suppose so but it is a sunk cost at this point. He is here, deal with it. That is my approach to questionable contracts....as long as the guy is giving the Cubs a reasonable level of production then what is the point of banging your head into a wall over the contract?

    Bears-Broncos from 2007 is on NFL Network right now. Just watched Cutler throw a beautiful deep ball to Marshall for a TD and just pretended it was Hester instead. \:D/

    Sammy is one of my favorite all-time Cubs (if not obvious from my username) but I don't hold any illusions about him taking Flinstone vitamins only. :wink: He probably was taking something but was smart and/or lucky enough to not leave a paper trail. That being said, if nothing is ever pinned on him then I do think the HOF voters should give him the benefit of the doubt. That is just my opinion and sure I'm probably a little biased. It does amaze me that there are people out there that still make such a stink about a freaking corked bat of all things.

    I dunno about that. Indy seems to have problems supporting both the Colts and Pacers at the same time, let alone a 3rd big league franchise.

    It's kind of disturbing to me that bhogg knew of them. It's even more disturbing that posting that in the game threads is considered by some to be a good thing. I would have been completely happy never seeing that pic for the rest of my life. Where did those pics come from originally? And why? Oh god why? :(

    Since when is 64.7% good? And he's only up about 5% from his season/career averages which is only 1 out of 20 so he hasn't really improved that much. Relax. In the last few Orlando victories he was nailing free throws, he seems to have the typical big man "if-I -concentrate-real-hard-I-can-make-em" free throw attitude. Its a damn shame everyone in the NBA isn't an automatic 80+% at free throws anyway I wasn't mad or anything, just asking a question. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Even Shaq had a few good games in a row and he never really improved. In Shaq's last game at LSU he was perfect from the line. I believe he attempted at least 11 or 12 free throws in that game too. Reason I remember that is they were playing Indiana in the NCAA Sweet 16. IU won of course. \:D/
