    Wow this game is incredible. I flipped over to CSN just in time for the grand slam. When the Cubs start tanking against the Nationals it is time to put away the desperate false optimism and fully embrace football season. \:D/

    his one completion was into double coverage :-)) I know, it was so much worse than that INT that Cutler threw last week or the ball he threw right at the Buffalo LB's chest. I love how preseason games are only meaningless when it's your team or player looking bad. When your guy/team looks great it's okay to get all excited again. I just like to make fun of the massive douche that is Brett Favre.. who said anything about meaningless preseason games? Orton throws 3 INT's in the first preseason game: "LOLOLOL have fun with that Denver. Cutler sucks." Cutler throws a horrible INT and throws another ball right between the numbers of a LB: "It's just the preseason, he's fine. He won't make those throws in the regular season once he's settled in." Favre goes 1-4: "LOL and he threw it into double coverage" Favre and Orton actually suck though. :hello:

    He did play well last night aside from a couple really bad decisions. I thought the plays Denver called were right down Orton's alley.......a lot of short, dump off type passes. The only problem he will face down the road is teams will start creeping up and sitting on the short stuff and force him to beat them downfield to keep 'em honest.

    Yeah that was..........interesting. But given that it was 4th down I suppose he just wanted to at least get the ball away and have a chance at converting rather than taking the sack and turning it over on downs that way.

    Having a QB who is mobile and coordinated outside the pocket is amazing. I mean seriously.

    Urlacher is my favorite player, I just hate seeing him get truck sticked. LOL I'm really happy with what I'm seeing tonight for the most part.

    Cutler is looking sooooooooo much better tonight. Not that I doubted him at all, it just sucked to see him struggle in that first preseason game. This is the kind of stuff that gets me excited. I liked how he stood tall against that corner blitz earlier and threaded a rocket to Bennett.

    BRING BACK REX AMIRIGHT. \:D/ well no, but the training camp hype didn't translate in this particular game. lots of good throws, but also bad decisions Well they say he has some Brett Favre in him as far as being an aggressive QB. Having Greg Olsen in the lineup will help. He seemed so focused on Hester tonight, 6 of his 10 throws went to Hester's direction. I'm not concerned yet. Jay just needs to get his reps in. Hopefully he can have a strong outing in Denver in 2 weeks. That is usually the dress rehearsal game.

    Anything Cutler says or does is going to get treated that way by some of the media people. I think the main cure for that is to play great this season and have the team do really well. Anyone else going to watch the Broncos-49ers game on NFLN tonight? I'm very interested in seeing how Orton does. Not that I'm expecting or wanting him to fail, it isn't like that. I just want to see how he looks in that offense.

    Personally I love having high expectations for the Bears. The number of times I've had any kind of preseason confidence in them has been few and far between since the 80's. I had a lot of confidence going into 2006 too. Hey that did not turn out too badly. Granted I felt strongly the following season too and 2007 was a mess but whatever. Expecting greatness is kind of fun sometimes. If I get let down, oh well. I don't let sports get me down too much anymore. When I was younger I would take the results of my teams almost personally.
