Hit off 1st basemans glove went right to 2nd baseman who threw to pitcher covering 1st.

Pretty good stuff so far, however he has allowed some flyballs that worry me.

There are alot of pitchers in MLB who would kill to have the kind of movement Lowe has on all of his pitches. It is seriously like watching a whiffle ball. Come on Ward time to redeem yourself.

He had a rough stretch where he was pretty bad, but it does seem like hes gotten back on track, Im glad to see it. And we are now into the Lowe settling down part of this game where our offense does nothing from here on out, SWEET

They've got no off-days left to reschedule games...it'd be doubleheaders for makeups at this point... But I dont think Pitt goes back to Stl, so it would be a game made up at the end probably. With that said I bet they stay as late as they need to to get this game in. Yeah...I'd say that unless it rains till midnight they get it in....(still raining though and doesn't look to stop anytime soon)....another option woudl be to do a double header AT Pitt...or, one back here at the end of the year "if necessary") Knowing how Larussa is, I see no way that he would agree to giving up this home game and doing a DH at Pitt. With that said they will wait till prob 7 pm if need be to get this game in. Pitt has a short flight back home and doesnt play till tomorrow night, and Stl goes out to Arizona, but they dont start till late tomorrow night.

So a guy who couldnt throw strikes at all in the 1st inning and we come out and get 2 outs on 3 damn pitches. Jesus, I swear this crap is just a replay of the entire season.

I love Murton, but a baserunning guru he is not. No hes not but if its a young kid who does the crap Ward has done twice the last week, they would be benched or sent down. You cant affort that ignorance while in Sept, and your offense is struggling. if the young kids played the field like murton they would be benched or sent down. its pick your poison. You are acting like our other options for RF are gold glovers. None of them can field, and Murton is no worse then Floyd or Ward. Jones and Pie are both pretty damn good fielders. EDIT: Posted that before your last reply. Yea I just dont classify that as a realistic idea right now, as its quite obvious Lou wants no part of Pie batting in this playoff run.

But if you're going to have a gut reaction to a guy messing up on the basepaths, and want to have him replaced, don't you want to replace him with a "good" baserunner? Say Pie in center and Jacque in right? Im sure you know Id have no problem with that either. Ward is a career PH for a reason, he cant do anything else besides hit.
