    I think its safe to let Eyre pitch. Its not like the Cubs count on him in close games anyways. Actually they have been, hes been good for awhile now, and Id rather count on him than Ohman at this point.

    What's going on with Marshall? I'm guessing he's being saved for the DH but after that will he get another start or is he relegated to the pen now? I dont know what his deal is, but then again Im one of the few people who didnt think he needed taken out of the rotation in the first place.

    agreed the first 3 runs scored was all bad luck, the other 3 runs were pretty hard hit though.

    Once again as if it matters if he had given up 1 run in 6 innings the Cubs offense still cant score. Our offense is a joke Dude, are you going to do this again? Our "ace" as most people refer to him has given up 6 runs in 6 innings. Don't even try to pin tonight's loss on the offense. How can you not blame the damn offense? You cant win when you score 0 [expletive] runs Easy Tiger... I think he is just trying to point out that Rich put the team in a pretty big hole tonight. Sure you can't win if you don't score, but also dont win very often when your SP gives up 6 runs. Ill bet you win more when your starters give up 6 runs then you do when your offense scores 0....Any argument?lol

You cant win when you score 0 [expletive] runs You also can't win when you give up a run an inning. Yes, the offense has sucked tonight. But Rich Hill is the reason we're losing. What the hell is Ronny Cedeno doing in the batters box? At least Lou is using him when the game is already lost. Its not an all or nothing type thing. The offense shares as much blame for this loss as Rich does.

    You just dont stop do you? His numbers on the season are good, but whatever Im not getting into this argument I don't stop with what? That I didn't buy into the super-hype exepcting him to put up a full season of dominating performances? He is highly ovverrated around here. Why can't I make that claim without being attacked for it? Whatever like I said Im not getting into it, its been beaten to death. However all of his numbers basically state that he is a good to above average starter, and the fact its his first full season thats impressive.

    do you honestly believe this has anything to do with last night? I think yesterdays game could have served as a wake up call, or a kill. It looks like it was the kill.

    Well after yesterdays heartbreaker, I told the guys at work we will find out alot about the Cubs tonight. Can they bounce back and forget about it, or would they come out down and out. Well I guess we know now, and yestrdays game has the makings of a season ender.

    Cubs opponents have given up plenty of those this season. Pirates offense has also been killing lately. Yea that Pirate offense did alot vs 7+ innings of Cardinals bullpen yesterday....
