  1. Go Salukis! Not just saying that as a U of I fan, but since I went to SIU for 2 years, I try to root for them as well. What do you expect in this game? Honestly I really dont know after seeing USC dominate SIU like they did. If Im the Salukis, I try and do the same thing to Gordon that Xavier did, but thats easier said than done. SIU needs a big game from Faulker, and SIU arena is sure to be crazy. Probably one of the best matchups Carbondale has seen in probably forever.

  3. Harvard is beating Michigan early in the 2nd half.
  4. Weber State must really suck huh. He had some great performances last year against lower conference teams then disappeared come Big 10 play. I'm hoping for some improvement, and that he can be the shooter off the bench that we haven't had since Jamar was an idiot. Ha you had me confused as hell thinking you made a double post. Im really just ready to get through this season, and get some of these incoming recruits here. Paul is really starting to soar up the rankings, and when its all said and done, he could be a hell of a get for Bruce.

  6. Wait, what? Hendry was willing to sign Matsui for like 15 million, but money is getting in the way of Tejada? Jesus, get this [expletive] out of Chicago.
  7. With the BC loss earlier, we should be safely in the top 14, so it has no effect. Awesome, in that case GO TENN!
  8. You can probably take Church off that list, right? I doubt the Mets are going to turn around and deal him again.
  9. I've been following the talks over at orioleshangout.com, and the general consensus is that MacPhail is going to completely dismantle the team and start over. Bedard and Tejada are pretty much as good as gone. It wouldn't surprise me seeing Roberts traded as well. Does Cedeno, Pie, Marshall, and Veal get it done for Roberts and Tejada? We'd probably have to give a bit more. Its MacPhail he would probably want less.
  10. Ive got ABC but no CBS. Is this cause of the ice storm? I have no idea, but there's no ice here - maybe closer to Indy something happened? Not sure because my CBS is working now.
  11. Sounds to me like Carr being there was the deciding factor
  12. SSR, this LSU-Tenn game has no effect on U of I right?
  13. Lou says Hes basically been hinting since last season that he wanted more speed and guys to bunt so they could manufacture runs like that. And now he is trying to get Pie to bunt more.

  15. Well, we have Soriano leading off with his sub-par OBP. If we get Fukudome and Tejada, my lineup would be: Soriano Fukudome Lee Ramirez Tejada DeRosa Soto Pie Yea that lineup would be ideal. Also apparently the Cubs are looking at moving Soriano out of the leadoff spot, but they say he needs to have speed. With that lineup right there Id go with Fukudome DeRosa Aram Soriano Lee Tejada Soto Pie Wait, why push Lee and Tejada down that far? Bat Lee 2nd, then Aram, then Sori, then Tejada. Aram is our best hitter, Soriano is our best power hitter, Lee gives Soriano protection, and Tejadas numbers have dropped recently. Not really a slight against Tejada it just speaks how good that lineup looks. Also with that lineup, Lou could still bunt with his 2 hitter like he likes too, even though I dont.
  16. Yea they werent too far out. They do suck, unless you are the guy who gets to do it and win 75k. That wouldnt suck lol
  17. How nice of BC's coach to call out the long snapper like that on national TV lol.

  19. which would be terrible. what is with hendry's obsession with a left-handed bat anyway? geez, he's hopeless. What would be terrible about adding Crawford to our lineup? He's young, relatively cheap, plays solid defense, and is a solid offensive player. Oh, and he's left handed, of course. ;) Its the fact the Hendry is so set on a left handed RF, instead of just looking for a good OF, hes dead set he has to be lefthanded for some reason.
  20. That would be typical Cubs if they get Fukodome and hit him 4th or 5th. The guy has great on base skills and instead of hitting him 2nd in front of Lee and Aram, wed bat him after.
  21. LMAO
  22. I have to bowl, and my damn bowling alley doesnt get the NFL network either.
  23. Yeah because Tim Tebow has a lot in common with all those Florida QB's, other than the fact he played at Florida. Same Coach? No. Same System? No. The argument was always the Spurrier system argument...Tebow probably has never even met Steve Spurrier off the football field. Really using that argument is incredibly logically dishonest and anyone who uses it seriously should be laughed at. That said, Tim Tebow is probably going to go in the first round if he's healthy, wins a heisman and continues to rock next year (see Alex Smith). However, how much of his passing success is because of his legs remains to be seen and he's a risky bet for a first round pick. I wouldn't take him before the second round at the earliest. His power running threat won't be much of a factor and his little fake QB draw thing won't be as potent in the NFL. Not only that he's likely to end up in a body bag if he scrambles as much as he does now in the NFL. He's probably a better FB prospect for the NFL than QB. If he was a pure FB he'd probably go in the first or second round. I know hes not in the same system. I agree with basically everything else you said thought. Honestly I think the same thing could be said for Juice minus the Heisman, and insert WR instead of FB.
  24. Yea, Juice as a sophomore is the way to judge him. Well at least there is no argument at all regarding Tebows NFL chances. We all know how great those Florida QB's do in the NFL.
