  1. Who cares who or what the Bulls got back, BEN WALLACE IS OUT OF CHICAGO! See ya you overpaid crybaby
  2. For the love of God Weber, FREAKING PLAY McCAMEY. And I swear if I have to hear another announcer kiss Chester Fraziers ass, Im going to backhand somebody.
  3. He probably didnt hustle from the airport like all the other guys did, or hes watching [expletive] fight.....
  4. Dukes not at home so WF doesnt have as much to worry about in the closing minutes.
  5. Yea dont forget that part that he used to bang Alyssa Milano, after that no way am I feelin sorry for him.
  6. Skiles was grasping for straws to try and find 5 players who would play hard. The team underperformed this year and they quit on Skiles, and were worrying about their own agendas(contracts etc...) Skiles deserves very little blame for the Bulls season, but something had to be done, and in the NBA, its always the coach who feels it.
  7. Skiles hasn't been successful? I don't agree with that at all. In Phoenix he went 40-22, 51-31 then 25-26. They were 27-23 the year before he was hired and 13-7 when he was hired. After he was fired they went 11-20, 44-38 and 29-53. Chicago had been awful for five and a half years before he got there. He went 19-47, then 47-35, 41-41 and 49-33 before this year's poor 9-16 start that got him fired. Both coaching stops he promptly improved the team, and in Phoenix the team dipped after he left (before, of course, the Steve Nash signing). Chicago is 12-15 by my count post-Skiles. It seems he wears out his welcome quickly. That, however, is not surprising for any NBA coach, much less a hard-nose like Skiles. It's also less of a concern in college, where players are only there for a few years and they're not millionaires. Exactly. Skiles biggest downfall in the NBA is that NBA stars dont like his hard ass style. His teams have alwasy been known for busting their ass, and playing great defense. That style will work with college age kids, but NBA egomaniac prima donas dont like it. I know as a Illini fan, i really hope this isnt true, because I dont look forward to having to play a Skiles team who busts their ass, and plays great d.
  8. Thats not true at all. He took over a pathetic Bulls team and helped lead them to a playoff series win last year. Skiles will be a great hire for IU
  9. Heh, apparently one of the illegal 3 way calls Sampson participated in was with Illini freshman, DMac. Interesting
  10. If I was IU, Id fire Sampson, and hire......Scott Skiles. I swear he would be a great college coach.
  11. Im sorry but I dont think the sanctions should depend on how IU handles Sampson. They knew what they were getting when they hired the guy, and should also have to feel the wrath since they chose to ignore his past. Oh and good job Wisc. Hey IU, try beating a good team, I dont think you can.
  12. Ok is anybody else laughing their ass off at the douchebag sitting next to Clemens, who keeps looking at him when hes answering a question? Seriously this guy looks like a freak.
  13. That would be fine by me. I don't mind if IU sticks with him throughout the process and see where it leads, but if he's let go today I wouldn't mind that either. The question becomes who would coach the team though. If Sampson is fired, Meyer has to be fired as well. I hear there is an ex IU coach available :pig:
  14. Yea that caught me a little off guard. :-k
  15. Im going by the fact that they have been ruled as "major infractions" that the NCAA has found a little more than what everybody knows. And I stand by my opinion that to completely dismiss the idea of Sampson personally calling Gordon is being naive. But we can sit here and go back and forth about this, but we wont know anything till this all comes to fruitition, and evidently thats going to be awile.
  16. I think you are all kidding yourselves if you think Sampson didnt call Gordon personally after he was hired. If he was willing to break the rules for these other recruits, than dont you think he would be willing to break the rules to get 1 of the top players in the country immediately after he was hired?
  17. "I think he mis remembers". GMAFB
  18. Can I point and laugh at IU yet, or do I have to wait? By the way, the NCAA is a joke. They arent going to hear the IU case untill June because thats when they meet next?WTF call a special meeting you jackasses, I mean if they cheated(not really if) why would you let that team have a possible effect on who the National Champion is?
  19. I've been calling it all year. KU is a real good team, but they aren't special. I have never seen them as a Final 4 team at any point. I dont think there are any "special" teams in college basketball this year. Memphis is the closest one, but them playing in a weak conference could bite them. The tourney this year is very wide open.
  20. You must have missed the Pedro Martinez [expletive] thread.
  21. He won't make it past Seattle and could go as early as Houston/Arizona, as I pointed out above. Yea I was replying to minnesotacubsfan who said he would be a good pick for the Bears in the 2nd round. Mendenhall would be worth the 14th pick, but the Bears need to work on the OLine before they take a back. With last years line it wouldnt matter who the RB or Qb was.
  22. Mendenhall will be gone by the 2nd round guranteed.
  23. Ben Wallace for Andrei Kirilenko? Bulls fans would you do it? Also supposedly Bulls and Knicks(hahaha) have discussed a deal with Wallace going to NY for Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose, and Fred Jones. Id do either deal in a heartbeat, but I think Id rather have Kirilenko than the Knicks deal. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/cs-080209-sam-smith-bulls-jazz-trade-ben-wallace,0,7370907.column
  24. Uhhh Illinois?
  25. 42 ounces, actually (still heavy as god knows). But, do you really think pitchers in the 20's and 30's threw that much slower? When I was playing in high school, the average pitcher we faced was throwing in the low to mid 80's and the good ones could get it into the 90's. These are 16-17 year olds with no real conditioning and no real training. So, a 2008 teenager >>>>>>> 1925 grown man that is a professional athlete? You must have played in an extraordinary area for high school baseball, because I find that very very hard to believe. Most of the kids I faced when in high school were probably around 70 75 with maybe a few in confernce that could get into the 80's with a limited few in the entire area that could get it into the low 90's.
