    You guys complaining about Del Negro having no coaching experience, do realize that one of the coaches in the NBA Finals had no coaching experience when he got his first job, right?

    Casey would be my personal choice at this point, however, why don't they just wait another few days till the finals are over and interview Tom Thibodeau? At this point what is the harm in waiting? I personally dont like Thibodeau. I think the fact that the Celtics actually have very good players has given Thibodeau his "name". But I do feel the job will be Caseys.

    Give me Lowe or the extreme longshot Sabathia. I think Lowe could put up some very good numbers in Wrigley. Id throw anything and everything for CC though.

    I hope Marquis sucks, gets rocked, and the we win the Cubs. The sooner hes out of the rotation the better.

    Bears need to cut Benson now, and sign Henry. They cant go to camp with just Forte and Peterson.

    I cant remember where the article was that I read, but in it Wood said he has no desire to start again. He said this is the best hes felt in years, and finally is pitching without the fear of getting injured every time he throws a pitch. Hes also said countless times, he wants his little boy to remember seeing him pitch, and with the way things are going he doesnt want to mess with anything.

    Yes. He and Len should do comedy as they are quite funny together. I have laughed out loud countless times this year with the wise cracks. I just don't get why so many people are down on him as a manager. I mean, the man did win a WS. I love Brenly as an announcer, but after listening to him, I want him nowhere near the dugout. His obsession with bunting, and hitting and running, etc.... is enough for me to really have to desire ever to see him in the Cubs dugout.

    Questions for people who have went to the IL-Mizzou football game in the past. How much are tickets? Any idea if they have group rates, and if so how many is considered a group? With both teams being ranked this year, am I going to need to sit at a computer and try to get tickets like we do for Cub games?

    Damn that works out pretty good since its also Labor Day weekend I believe. After looking at U of I's page, looks like tickets go on sale Monday June 9. No time listed yet.

    I could fill you in, but I don't think it'd matter. He's going to be just fine. Not sure why you say it like that. Last I had heard they werent even starting him every game, so please fill me in? Injury, something else, what?

    Hell I dont even have that big of a problem with Marmol being used to clean up Weurtz's mess, but there is no reasonable explanation at all for leaving Marmol in to pitch the 9th inning, NONE.

    Not stacked with future all stars or anything, other than probably Rasmus. Lots of good pitching prospects. To be fair, Mather was had an OPS over 1.000 this year when he was brought up.     Yea I dont understand how Lou constantly talks about overworking Marmol, but yet, continues to do it. Hell last week he talked about not using Marmol anymore for 2 innings, and yet, uses him for 2 innings in a 4 run game. Where is Scott Eyre? Last year when Eyre sucked at the beginning of the year, Lou couldnt use him enough, but so far this year hes getting very very sporadic work.

    At this point, I wish Marmol would stub his toe or something and take about a week to heal up.

    Didnt see this posted anywhere else, but in the postgame Lou said they are going to have to consider going to 13 pitchers today, due to the wear on the bullpen. Normally, Id be 100% against this, but if this would stop Lou from overworking Marmol so much then screw it lets do it. Its pretty bad we may have to go a man short on the bench, because our manager,whos been managing for years, has absloutely no idea how to handle a bullpen. My guess is Fontenot goes down, and Hart comes up. That leaves us with Dero, Cedeno, and Theriot as middle infielders with Soriano an option in emergency cases.     Both. The Cubs, and maybe the Cardinals, are the only really good teams in the NL. Probably just the Cubs. I wouldnt overlook Arizona and Philly yet.
