    Hey, another person that makes sense. You sure you don't want to criticize him for 14 big league AB's or his last name? It's what everyone else is doing. That has absolutely nothing to do with why I would rather have Hoff in there today, but keep generalizing its alot of fun. I wasn't talking about you. You said you didn't mind Patterson being called up. I'm talking about the people that are saying "Patterson sucks." My bad man. Im a little cranky lol

    He'll have a good deal of chances. He'll definitely be involved in the 6 DH games, and that's half of our next 12 without him getting any OF time. My reasoning for my linup was to maximize our OBP in the 1-2 spot since we are losing the power out of the 1 spot. Whats EPatts career OBP? .365, .361 this year. To compare, last year was the first time Hoffpauir had ever been above .360, and he was a 27 year old in AAA. Ok heres hoping he can put up something like that. I know Hoff is older, but hey the Cards called up an older minor leaguer and hes turned into Pujols the 2nd, I was hoping Hoff could turn into Ludwick ;)

    I have no problem with EPatt, but Id like to see Hoff get his chance since he has in fact hit this year at the major league level(albeit small sample).

    Doc Rivers? Give the Bulls Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Ray and you can bring in one of the janitors to coach. Well you just proved my own point for me. The NBA is more about the players than it is the coach. You have to have talent. By the way, Doc Rivers won Coach of the Year without Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Ray, with no prior experience. He also never got out of the first round until he was handed a ready-made championship roster. I think if you're going to make this argument you should find a better example. I definitely agree the NBA is more about the players than the coach. But we're in a much different situation than the Celtics. And again -- I'm hoping Del Negro succeeds as much as the next guy. The question is whether sitting here, not knowing how anything will turn out, was there really no better option out there than Vinny? Better examples huh? How bout Larry Bird, Pat Riley had very very very little experience coaching(like a half season at the most), and Phil Jackson certainly wasnt Mr Experience.
