Yes it is. Im so ready for this game. Ive been waiting for this game since the Rose Bowl loss last year. Me too. This team may have a touch less experience, but is definitely more talented than last year's bunch. I'm excited to see Martez Wilson play every down and the Vontae/Macklin match-up should be a lot of fun. Our schedule is very difficult this year (Mizzou, road games at Penn State, Wisky, and Michigan), but there really isn't any game that I feel we can't win this year (note: I'm not predicting an undefeated season). Ya I cant wait for the rest of the country to learn who Martez Wilson is. I keep hearing about how much of a loss Leman is, and it needs to stop. Wilson is a monster. I think the key to this season is on how much Juice has matured, and whether or not we have a back step up and take over the #1 running back spot. We have the talent there, its just a matter of who wants it. And yes, our schedule isnt going to be easy.

Are there any other Big10 teams starting off with a quality non-conf opponent? I know the Badgers are taking on the mighty Akron. Quick check....looks like MSU is taking on Cal, that's pretty much it. Nope it wont be an easy game for the Illini, but it also wont be an easy game for Mizzou. I really wish this game was the 3rd game of the year instead of the 1st. I think it would give us a better idea of what to expect from both teams.

He didn't play much against the against the Cards either. I find that to be interesting, don't you? Doumit didn't play yesterday against the Crew either. I'll bet he plays all 3 against us. Great work guys, we have proof of a conspiracy! Now all we need to figure out is a motive. My point isn't that it's a conspiracy per se, but that teams definitely gear up for the Cubs. We get everyone's best effort. Other teams don't. Come on, you really dont believe that do you? That is embarrassingly lame

Doug Eddings enough said. AJ get bailed out making a terrible baserunning mistake. How Maddon doesnt get himself ejected I have no clue. If I was him I would have sat on 2nd base and said Im not moving untill you get the call correct :D Blue isn't going to overturn the call, I read the lips of another ump and he said "I have no idea". I don't blame Maddon for not getting ejected, what is it going to do? TB should protest the game, not that it does anything though. Yea I agree the ump isnt going to overturn the call. Man I just really really hate MLB umpires.
