  1. 3-0 count, Cubs struggling to score, and Hoff has the green light? UGH
  2. Cardinals Lose! I guess they arent unbeatable
  3. Haha wow thats all there is to even say right now is wow.
  4. Wow these fake rallys are really getting annoying
  5. What a [expletive] terrible at bat from Theriot, Jesus Christ thats just pathetic
  6. Well they are yet to score vs the White Sox last time I looked in 2 games. Our 1st game with them may never end.
  7. Ok fake rally time this is the most excitement we get is the 9th inning.
  8. what happened Hit the ball off some pitcher's leg and it went right to the 1st baseman. Fontenot is batting like -.038 this month He crushed that pitch, what else do you want him to do exactly?
  9. those were some great at bats from our 1 and 2 hitter.Fantastic
  10. Are you even watching the game? Font crushed that pitch, and got as unlucky as you can get. Damn him for not placing that ball exactly where noone is, I bet Patton could.
  11. Get you head out of your ass Soriano for Christs sake.
  12. This has to be approaching some sort of record for offensive ineptness over a period of games. This is plain horrible.
  13. Nice night Hoff. Glad we bench the guy who hit a bomb last week off Peavy, and hit the ball hard 3 times last night.
  14. Yay a leadoff hit. Lets see if Hoff can hit into a DP
  15. Screw it bring in Patton and lets just start a beanball war. At least that would be some entertainment
  16. I guess God hates you. Wow Im shocked you have a smartass comment. Completely unexpected In all seriousness though God probably does hate you. When it comes to sports I have no doubts.
  17. I guess God hates you. Wow Im shocked you have a smartass comment. Completely unexpected It would be like me being surprised that you're wallowing in melodramatic misery yet again. Put me on ignore if you dont like it.
  18. I guess God hates you. Wow Im shocked you have a smartass comment. Completely unexpected
  19. Of course our "ace" comes off the DL and cant throw strikes against the San Diego Freaking Padres, but Chris Carpenter comes off the DL and shuts up completely down. Of course
  20. Why is it ok to use the excuse that Dero is playing in the AL and needs time to adjust, but its not ok to say the same thing about Bradley? You cant have it both ways
  21. I'm sure the Mets are looking to acquire more than a 1B who can't hit anymore. And I'm all for playing Hoff more, but Soto will come around. However, if Lou saying that he'll play Hill over Geo if he doesn't turn it around soon lights a fire under him and gets his bat going, then I'm all for it. But wouldn't you say Soto already is coming around (or even has come around)? His SLG is still pathetic but he's got a .280 BA and .362 OBP in May. Yea thats my problem with Lous comments. Lee has shown signs of life, as has Soto, and now is when he talks about making changes. Lee has shown signs of life for a few games at Wrigley with the wind blowing out. Neifi Perez used to show signs of life in those situations too. The wind blowing out has nothing to do with it
  22. The last two days. Or are the Cubs just looking that bad? The Cardinals have scored 5 runs on us the last two days even though we're playing defense like nine Jake Foxes. Don't be fooled. Yea this. The Cardinals are coming off getting swept at home vs the Brewers, and its not like their offense is out there pounding away. The Cubs have looked very bad the last 2 games, but I definately wouldnt say the Cardinals are looking good. They are looking better than the Cubs the last 2 games, after looking abysmal the previous 4-6 games when the Cubs were winning 5 straight.
  23. Okay, your next assignment is to find that guy. The thing is, Peavy is available, and all reports indicate he'd prefer the Cubs over anybody. Utley and Kinsler aren't exactly available. I shall take the assignment. Rake may not be the right word, but Ray Durham has posted an .800+ OPS in two of the past 3 seasons. In 2006 he was two points off from a .900 OPS. And he's a free agent. Yea at this point, Ive got to believe hed be better than Fontenot, and it really cant cost that much to sign him can it? How old is Durham?
