  1. Haha we finally score runs, and our starting pitcher decides to blow.
  2. Quit calling pitch outs Lou, especially when your starting pitcher just walked a guy
  3. Gotta love the patience showing back up. For some reason it completely disappeared during the road trip.
  4. I wouldnt call it being so much negative as it is just calling out the dumb baseball by Theriot. That is a mistake that should not be made ever in the Majors. The ball was hit right in front of him, and yet he still takes off. Just dumb baseball
  5. This is so flawed an argument everyone is having. Only the Cardinals can win 83 games and win a World Series. We aren't, nor have we ever been that kind of lucky. It has very little to do with luck, and much more to do with the playoffs being a crap shoot. You also don't have Carpenter or Pujols or Wainwright or Rolen. Part of the reason playoffs are a crapshoot is because of luck. Also, we have guys comparable or better than every person you listed but Pujols. While we dont have a Pujols, we have better 1-8 than that Cards team did when completely healthy, and hitting like they have throughout their career. You don't have a pitcher as good as Carpenter. No, Harden is not. And Zambrano isn't close (right now). And your 1-8 is barely better, if they are at all. You really need to look at Carlos Zambranos stats and put them up against Chris Carpenters best year and tell me hes not close.
  6. Prepare for the boos fellas, because I have a feeling they are going to be LOUD!
  7. Definatley not the way you wanted to start while on a 7 game losing streak.

  9. I dont know bout yall but im hopin for Heilman The only thing Im hoping for Heilman is for him to be DFA'd.
  10. I think your mojo may be needed really soon BHogg
  11. Dont worry because if he doesnt turn it around TONIGHT, the fans are going to give him and the rest of this team an absolute earful.
  12. Yes. Ive never actually seen Fox play is he really that bad in the field? I think its pretty obvious that hes "that" bad in the field or else hed be up by now.
  13. rained out :x Does that mean double header tomorrow? EDIT: Nevermind game wont be made up
  14. No offense to Roast, but if the Cubs lose this game, I think its time to call the "game thread pimp" out of retirement to get things turned around.
  15. I have a hard time believing that. I swear the majority of his outs are little soft dribblers back to the pitcher.
  16. Jesus Christ this [expletive] is getting old. We cant get a break
  17. Ha hit hard, right at somebody. Lets see if Theriot puts together another terrible AB like he has of late
  18. I think Scales is putting together the best AB's on this team right now.
  19. Reed vs a right handed pitcher. Nice call Lou, screw his career numbers saying hes horrible against them.
  20. As well they should. Nobody should complain about it either. This team has it coming. I understand the fans have a right to boo, but booing a team that is already pressing incredibly is pretty ignorant. Its not like these guys arent wanting to get hits, score runs, and win games. Booing them does nothing, as Im sure they are pretty embarrassed with their play without the fans making it worse. Home is where you are supposed to be able to go during rough times, and receive praise. If you can't boo a team for a performance so bad that it's starting to approach historical levels, then when can you boo a team? What exactly does booing the home team accomplish? Do you think booing them is going to make them play better? Do you think they dont know theyve played like [expletive] all week? I just dont see the point

  22. Wrigley Field is going to be quite a rough homecoming for this team right now. If they lose today, the boos are going to be out from the 1st pitch on.
