  1. Soriano. Fox or Hoffpauir would replace Soriano in left. Soriano in CF would probably be one of the most amusing things we've ever seen. Not around much in '07? Did he end up playing CF in the regular season? I thought they ended the experiment in spring training? Im pretty sure he played in starting the season, but was struggling hitting so they moved him back to his "comfort zone".
  2. What purpose does Fuld serve though? Fuku is going to get the starts vs RH pitchers, so why call up Fuld? Against a lefty, if I was Lou, Id think really hard about a Sori-Bradley-Fox outfield. I know the defense wouldnt be the greatest, but it would maximize our lineup vs leftys. Granted, I wouldnt want to see this OF in Florida this weekend in that gigantic OF, but I think it could get by in Wrigley, or the other smaller OF stadiums.
  3. I just dont see where Fuld fits on the team with Reeds injury. They need a RH CF not another lefty. If I had to guess, Fuld will stay down, and the Cubs will make a trade for a RH hitting CF who hits leftys really well.
  4. Uh, who plays CF if Fuku gets hurt? In a scenerio like that, they could always move Soriano or Bradley over to finish out a game. Hell Theriot has taken flyballs out there before, and Id imagine Blanco could be moved out there. We are facing a right handed starting pitcher for at least the next 6 of 7 games, so Fuku is going to get all the starts anyway, even if Reed was healthy.
  5. Stevens has been called back up, and Reed has been put on DL. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/news/story?id=4366127
  6. Good call Gooney, the Cubs have recalled Stevens
  7. I don't expect it, but they can. Normally he'd have to spend 10 days in the minors before being called back up, but not if it's to replace a player going on the DL. Earlier this season Fuld was called back up 1 day after being sent down for the same reason. Yes, I know that part of the rule, but my question is does it work when it's a pitcher replacing a position player? If so, it makes the most sense. Stevens hasn't been overworked. He was coming off 2 days in a row, but has 1 day of rest. And Atkins doesn't provide much of anything. Yea it still works regardless of who the injury is to, and who the player is coming back up.
  8. Unreal, Im done with this game, Im goin to my girlfriends lol
  9. From the looks of Gameday, this pitcher has no clue where the strikezone is
  10. gameday has that 2nd pitch to Pujols in the strike zone
  11. I have no doubt Stl is going to win this game
  12. Good job Kemp, now finish them LA!
  13. Right because the guy whos 2 for his last 30 and hitting 222 in July would have made a biggggg difference in this game. Nevermind its a lefty on the mound and "GOD RASMUS" just tears them apart for a a line of 179 247 239 486! would have won this game on his own. Give me a break I think he means because Rasmus would've made the play that Ludwick screwed up. Well if thats the case, then I apologize. It just so happened that as I read his post, I was having an argument via texts with my cousin whos trying to tell me Rasmus is a shoe in for ROY, and how hes having a great season. Cards fans are sucking him off, and the guy has had 1 good month in the Majors, other than that, hes been horrible.
