They said we got Wandy, Oswalt, Hampton, and Ortiz, while they got Wandy and Oswalt. Apparently nobody started for the Astros the 3rd game the Cardinals lost to them. Hahaha

    Not that I want us to focus on a LOOGY, but how bout bringing back Mahay? Decent numbers against lefties. Make the Royals pick up half his salary. .275 baa leftys OPS of 760 and a whip near 1.8 overall. NO THANK YOU. Why is it so damn hard to find a lefty reliever that can throw freaking strikes. Im guessing to answer my own question, is most leftys who throw strikes are starters in the Majors.

    Im guessing this lasts either for just today or today and tomorrow. With Hart going today, I really dont mind carrying the extra pitchers.

    Hes mashing leftys in the minors if I recall correctly. He's got a .235/.365/.368/.732 line against lefties. Batting .297/.389/.341/.730 against righties. Ok so I dont recall correctly :D

    I just dont see where Fuld fits on the team with Reeds injury. They need a RH CF not another lefty. If I had to guess, Fuld will stay down, and the Cubs will make a trade for a RH hitting CF who hits leftys really well. Andruw? I dont know who they would target, and I dont want to give up anything valuable for a month long Reed Johnson replacement. If the cost is too high for someone, then just go with a Sori-Bradley-Fox outfield vs leftys.

    Ahh yea you may be right. I still say while Reed is out and facing a lefty, lets just go with a Sori-Bradley-Fox outfield.

    Hendry just keeps getting better all the time. Id rather we stayed internal also instead of giving up a good prospect for a month long Reed replacement. Odds are over the next month we face Im guessing, 5 LH starting pitchers at most.
