  1. Im guessing Cubs lineup Fuku Fontenot Lee Aram Bradley Soriano Miles Hill Harden
  2. Willy Taveras OBP .277 this year, career .323 Alex Gonzalex OBP .241 this year, career .293! These are your 1-2 hitters for Dusty Bakers Reds. Man I really dont miss that guy
  3. He's been brutal lately. His playing time has decreased because of his heel injury and the hiatal hernia thing is worrisome because of the weight he's been losing. Came into camp at 210 and is at 190 now. Lately? Ill argue hes been brutal in every month of this season outside of June when he posted a 869 OPS, and even in that month he didnt take a walk in 84 at bats. Amazing he hit 333 in June and had an OBP of 333 for an entire month. He has alot of adjusting to do to become a everyday Major league player, 23 walks in over 300 at bats.
  4. SEXY! It sure does seem like hes getting to 3 ball counts in just about every at bat since being moved to the leadoff spot, which I guess the 4.39 p/pa shows.
  5. No its still weak as its always been............
  6. How much were they? I'm thinking about going to that game as well. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Cincy on Black Friday to see that matchup (which should be a great one). You can get horseshoe tickets for the Michigan game or the Penn State game for 30 bucks on Stubhub
  7. Using a Hawk-ism should be punishable by ban. The likes of Hawk and the Cardinals go hand in hand, so I felt it was appropriate.
  8. The Murderers Row thing was said at GRB. And we all know the only reason the Cubs have avg 6.3 runs is because they are playing crap teams, and getting lucky. Dont question the greatness of the St Louis Cardinals. They are unstoppable
  9. That's either way too high, or college bball is gonna be way down this year. Yea thats basically what I was thinking.
  10. 6 for his last 62 and no extra base hits...........
  11. Need him to get hot? How about he needs to stay hot. He has an OPS over 1.000 in the last week, and got robbed by that football stadium in Florida of 2 homers.
  12. THIS GAME IS OVAH! Murderers Row shutout by the New York Mets AAA team. IMPRESSIVE!
  13. Oh and the new murderers row has 2 hits today, and both by Pujols.
  14. 2 outs and nobody on in the top of the 9th doesnt scare the new murderers row.
  15. The problem is you almost have to use 6-men to get him extra rest. This time through he can go on 1 extra day of rest with the normal 5. But the next time he'll have to go on 4 days rest again unless somebody else pitches in between. Then, he'll have to go on 4 days rest again. And then there's the risk of somebody else needing a day off or two. I'm not saying go to a strict 6-man rotation, but rather keep a 6th starter around to slot into some starts here and there when needed. Yea I understand what you are saying. If Gorzo can pitch anywhere near like last night its not a bad idea.
  16. Pinerio has made it all year without striking out anyone, and has gotten lucky till last night that it hasnt bit him in the ass. Lohse just isnt that good, and only has 51 strikeouts in over 80 innings this year. This has been a long time coming for these 2 pitchers the Mets faced.
  17. I think 3 more starts so 2 weeks or so?
  18. Harden absolutely needs the extra rest. I don't think they need to go 6-man from here on out, but a couple weeks of giving a couple guys some extra rest is more than reasonable. I think I would rather just give Harden some extra rest here and there then go to a 6-man. The one blessing to the injuries that Lilly and Dempster had is they should be pretty rested for the stretch run. Im worried Wells may hit a wall here soon, and I wouldnt be opposed to giving him some extra rest as well. They definately need to monitor Harden and Wells pretty closely from here on out.
  19. The New Murderer's row is looking very impressive today.
  20. Of course Tony doesnt. So lets see Stl fans keep saying Cubs only doing good because of their schedule, well when you give up over 14 runs in 2 games to a team as bad as the damn Mets, I think its time for you to STFU.
  21. Disney on Ice Well that's ridiculous. Yea I cant believe the Bulls dont hold priority at the UC. Between the Circus trip, and now Disney on Ice, its ridiculous. 2 road trips over 6 games in a row, and both of them are on the West coast. The Bulls are at a scheduling disadvantage every year, and someone in the Bulls front office needs to put their foot down.
  22. Holy crap Dick Vitale is drinking the Orange and Blue of the Illini. Wow, he has Illinois ranked #10 in his preseason top 40! http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/dickvitale/news/story?id=4361336
  23. Disney on Ice For Christs sake ](*,)
  24. Stl vs NY Mets at 11:10am Central time. Kyle Lohse vs Jonathon Niese. Lets go Mets
  25. Yeah right. They just put up 7 in 9 innings against Johan Santana and K Rod. We are going to have to win to keep pace. That really pissed me off last night. They have to be due for a cold stretch. See I wasnt even pissed about the Stl game last night. I was actually pretty happy, because Pinerio finally came back to reality, and hopefully this is a sign of things to come. The Mets lineup is a total joke, and he gave up 7 runs and didnt strike out 1 batter thru 5 innings. Thats the Pinerio we all know and love.
