Its got to happen eventually doesn't it? Doesn't it??? -
THIS isn't getting depressing.
-
I know its a small sample size, but R/L splits are less than spectacular.

I found it shocking when reviewing Maddux's stats that he has more losses as a Cub than as a Brave. 317-185 overall in 20 seasons 123-97 as a Cub in 9 seasons 194-88 as a Brave in 11 Season This is more a testament to the Cubs having bad teams and the Braves having winners than it is to Maddux's "best years" being in Atanta (he had some great years with so-so records in Chicago). Though both are factors. Not trying to make any point about keeping maddux or not, just found it interesting.

9 inning 2 hitter... um wait. 7 innings 125-75 lifted for PH Jose Macias

These are what I would do, not what I think the Cubs will. Probably not hoops' intention. Sorry. C. Buy him out. I'd rather have stinkin' Lawton than Burnitz. A. Walker is on of the few bright spots on this team. C. I more year, one more chance. B. Anything that reminds us of Sammy is bad. Go away Jerry C. Next year is Nomar's year. 3B? Just kidding. SS C. Near then end of the season, Get as large a "good" sample as possible to offset this year's "superhuman" sample in negotiations. B. He's found his niche. A. no one will give him more than 2M, and the Cubs will have to eat salary to trade him. -
I'm positive this team stinks. Someone had to say it.

At least they didn't strand any runners that inning. I'm outta here. See you guys tomorrow.
-
The fall of man was corey's fault.
-
should be 3-3 wow. just wow.
-
woohoo more runners to strand!
-
I think so. Still got 3 innings of Rusch too. :D nope, sorry it sounded that way
-
I can't speak for anyone else, but my mama taught me not to talk with my mouth full of crow. are you telling people to eat crow because rusch had one good inning? Nope, just me. I was runnin my mouth, and he came out and shut me up. edit: apparently I came across that way to everyone :o ...sorry... I should shut my mouth instead of talking about shutting my mouth..lol
-
because its bad, or because its predictably bad?
-
Very Likely
-

Crimmeny, it was the 1st inning. I think we can have some patience. I like this 3 game streak we are on. But after Rusch gives up another run in the second, and two more in the third, we'll be into the pen by the fifth and it just doesn't look good. This doesn't sound like the Vance that we all know! Watching the way Rusch was pitching in the first, I hate to say there's little there to inspire confidence. He's getting behind in every count and getting hit hard when he is near the plate. 8 batters in the first doesn't usually bode well. Yummy, yummy crow
