  1. I would love to be seeing this instead of listening, but I forgot that MLB.TV blacks me out from Cardinals games and my chinese p2p spyware skills are out of date.
  2. If the Cubs can win this game, then next game they're playing for a chance to have a chance to get back to .500.
  3. Ian Stewart is a mudder. He'll homer at least twice today.
  4. I think the ring presentation is tomorrow. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120412&content_id=28502022&vkey=pr_stl&c_id=stl you're right, i was wrong. today is the banner unveiling, tomorrow is the ring presentation. i am fairly confident my friends are going to tomorrow's game, which now means i am rooting for one hell of a long thunderstorm. Of course they have to make this crap last the entire series. Thank goodness we had to be the team there for their weekend. They didn't think we'd care because it's not like we're trying to win the World Series.
  5. Stupid comment Your avatar is stupid. Which sadly has no bearing on the stupidity of your comment. I didn't say it did. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to be denigrate a double. But we already know he can smack first-pitch doubles.

  7. 5.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HR Non-prospect
  8. It was probably 1985, but possibly 1984. It was a day where kids under a certain age could get their picture taken before the game with a Cubs player. Somewhere I've still got a picture of 3-year-old me sitting on Leon Durham's lap. First I'm old enough to remember: I know it was 1995, a Cubs win, and Scott Servais homered to left field. This is my best guess: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199508230.shtml
  9. It'd be just like the Cardinals to ruin the Samardzija buzz and hit a half-dozen home runs off him. And it won't be Holliday or even Beltran, it'll be some stupid no-name AAA outfielder they just called up who gets three of them.
  10. Wasted a chance to save his arm and he didn't get the precious CG. Dusty Sveum.
  11. Please no. We've got plenty of bullpen guys who could probably use the work.
  12. Screw it: 5/$100 for Garza. In two years that'll seem like a steal.
  13. Very, very good. He's got excellent command.
