    Where? Why? Places like Baseball Prospectus and Hardball Times have done articles about it in the past. The idea is that some in the industry suspect that the extra day of rest doesn't really help much in terms of avoiding injuries or maintaining performance, but nobody wants their team to be the test subjects.

    I'd settle for a prolonged stretch of 28% or so right now. If he can keep it at 30% or better in the majors, I'm happy. It's not that 33% is disqualifying. It's just that 33% in AAA might translate to like 40% in the majors.

    (extended) spring training stats don't mean anything. There ya go, a home run for Vogelbach. I'm also starting to feel better about Jackson's ability to do everything he needs to do in the 2/3rds of his PAs where he doesn't strike out. I'll find something else to worry about soon enough.

    ABTY over at PSD has Underwood having agreed to terms "just north of slot" pending a physical. There's really nothing left for Almora to negotiate for, right? I think that's everybody we really care about (and please don't tell say Wiseman)?

    So ... you are going to argue that his first half is a plus, that he's exceeded expectations? His entire first half (from April to, well, heck, let's just make it from April to now) was a plus? Okay. Fair enough. I disagree, for the reasons I've noted, but ... fair enough. "Plus" in the sense that anytime a prospect advances a level without losing peripherals, that's a plus.

    Sure, I'll argue that. BB rate is up, K rate is mostly unchanged, IsoP is up. The only thing missing is BABIP, and that's been catching up as fast as it can.

    Torreyes' peripherals have been everything I hoped for him and then some. He just has a sub .250 BABIP last I checked.
