I think it will. Too much smoke lately about TV deals and Cubs talking with Fox, and that'd put us right in between Philadelphia and LA, so it feels appropriate. For the 70 WGN games, that's still like $80m or $90m more per year than we get now. It'd be huge.
Obviously not as done as we'd hoped, but the rumor earlier in the week was specifically a TV deal with Fox worth $1.7m-$1.85m/game for a total of $4b to $6b over the life of it.
I have my first first date in 13 years tonight, and I wish I didn't so I could just stay home and refresh for Tanaka news. This is far sexier. Trying to figure out if this says more about your date or you. http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af158/DorkKnight/GrampaSimpson-ColumnA-B.gif
I think Castro return to form (or even improvement on his peak) is already a separate prerequisite. I could see those other two, though. I'm figuring on Castro being a two-win player. Getting him to 4+ would be the kind of breakout that could take this team a step forward.
45 degree boner for me Incidentally, according to the interwebs, it would take a 40-inch boner to make the average human man to pass out. Tanaka's got me at 35 right now, and the actual signing of him might get me the last five.
So, you're the one? Seriously though, the Heat are 25 years old as a franchise. You can't honestly be a "lifelong" fan. Don't worry about it, it's a bit. I can't even bring myself to copy and paste what ABTY just posted on PSD. I passed out from too much boner.
Picking up Tanaka and keeping Samardzija basically puts us about where we were going into last offseason. Makes up for losing Garza, Soriano, DeJesus. Enough to hope for getting really lucky, at least.
He's definitely Mr Negativity in regards to all things Cubs. It's pretty clear the front office has entirely shut off him and Sullivan from any remotely insider information, and they're both pretty upset about it. It's hilarious. That's not clear at all. Wittenmeyer has a source. I'm 90% sure it's Crane Kenney.
