I've been leading the "our short-term pitching outlook sucks" parade for three years now. It's up to the point now where I like it a little bit. I mean, it's still pitching, so six guys could have shoulders blow up simultaneously the first day of spring training. And I don't overwhelmingly love it. But I like it. Arrieta, Hendricks, Wood, Turner, Straily, Doubront, Wada?, Jackson is acceptable starting pitching depth for next year. It could be improved considerably by a TOR addition or two, but who couldn't? For the bullpen under control next year, we have Ramirez, Rondon, Grimm, Wright, Strop, Grimm, Schlitter, Rosscup, Rivero and Vizcaino. Plus any of the guys who don't make the rotation. And I think it's conceivable that, if we were in competitive games in August/September, that Pierce Johnson or CJ Edwards could contribute next year.
