It does include Kris Bryant. It didn't used to, I think they added him yesterday and that's what pushed us over the top. Either way, that's so freaking cool.
Are you starting to give in to theo's almighty tank and win plan yet? It's not as good as win and then win some more, but it's better than tank and then tank some more without ever winning.
If it's Gomes or Ross, I can live with that. Just not both. I might prefer Gomes, tbh. Not that he isn't terrible, as a bench OF, he wouldn't be displacing anyone, really. I can live with one but only because I'm bargaining in a "please don't do both" way.
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/swPcFyhDMpk/hqdefault.jpg We're downgrading by, I don't know, a win by replacing Castillo with Ross. What out there that you can get for Castillo improves our roster by a similar amount?
Castillo can have 54 starts at C, DH 10 times, maybe teach him to give Rizzo like 6 days off at 1b, and PH in like every other game. If we can't keep him happy with that, then WTH are we paying Joe Maddon for?
I mean it's not really going to happen but like Castillo could C and DH and backup 1b and maybe learn to play emergency LF. But I'm grasping because I don't want to come to terms with the fact that we're going to tear up an awesome catching platoon just for the classic veteran defensive backup who is a skid mark inside the batter's box.
Opposite for me. I can live with some stupid mascot veteran being a pinch-hitter and cracking jokes on the bench or whatever it is that makes you a leader. But we have a really good catching situation and I hate to tear it apart for stupid reasons.
Which is how it should be. And hopefully it's not just talk when people started swarming around Castillo trades and Theo slapped it down and said "having two catchers is good." #TeamTheo4Life
