So Jorge Soler is awesome and Jake Arrieta can't stop getting donged. Everything we knew in the first hour is turned upside-down.

I love that our most hated player is actually a legit big league hitter, as opposed to the Neifis of years past. Neifi as a Cub was a better player overall than LaStella in the bigs to date, although most of that was defense.

Soler is going to be a fountain of sadness for awhile then make some seemingly minor random adjustment and become a god.

I'm lower on him than most, but I think you could make a case for 8th. He is definitely behind Rizzo, Bryant, and Heyward. Probably Russell and Zobrist. And I'm not 100% in 2016 he is better than Fowler or Montrro. Montero? No way. There's only half a win difference in their ZIPS projections, and that's with Montero getting fewer PAs and no credit for pitch framing.

In that scenario, they win the division by 7 games instead of 12. -
If they lost Schwarber for the whole year, it'd drop their projection by roughly the same amount that the 3-0 start raised it. It would be a much bigger style points and fun void than production void.
