I survived the last four times they lost the NLCS, I can handle this one as long as they don't do anything particularly soul-sucking like get swept again or blow a 98% chance to win the series again.

Yeah, I doubt that the partial inning he threw last night hurts him any. It was the 100+ on short rest that would be problematic. If it were me, I'd pitch him in game 3 and 7 to give him extra rest, but who knows.

Cubs should be at least a small favorite over either LA or WAS. So the Cubs are probably going to the World Series. It is slightly more probable than not.

This makes no sense. Do you think they deserve extra wins for games 3 or 4? Was Jon Lester pitching like Jon Lester luck of some sort? Was us beating up terrible Jeff samardzjia something that wasn't supposed to happen? Seriously, stop. Be better than John smoltz. For me Game 1 was a push. Good starting pitching by both. Also remember that our offense has done almost nothing. It's been our pitchers and backup catcher doing all the damage. I feel like SF's bullpen and offense have been better. We were 16 games better than the Giants this year. That is slightly less than 1 extra win per 10 games. You just can't expect that to show up reliably in a five game series.
