  1. Baseball is really boring and without the Cubs having never won, there is a lot less intrigue.
  2. Inman dropped it that was also an inaccurate throw.
  3. That was a better throw than Trubisky's td
  4. Forgive my doubts Mitch, you can string together two NFL throws
  5. Probably can't complain about refs after that phantom holding
  6. And his arm isn't as accurate as I would like.
  7. I'm not so sure the Bears have the advantage at QB Yeah you’re right, the 5th round draft pick with a 1 TD/5 INT career ratio (1/4 this year) and 4.7 YPA (5.0 this year) for his career is obviously the better QB He looks better. Trubisky is way worse right now than we want to admit to ourselves
  8. I'm not so sure the Bears have the advantage at QB Yeah that was overexuberant in retrospect.
  9. Easy to complain now, but fumbles into the end zone should really come back to the point of the fumble, not a touchback.
  10. He fumbled it and it went out of bounds in the end zone.
  11. when is the last time the Bears had the better QB in this matchup?
  12. Incorrect. Closer games give you a higher probability of getting lucky against better teams. It increases the impact of variance. If, for example, you get a ball pop right into your defender's hands for an INT return, that has a bigger impact in a close game. Fun to watch or not, Fox-ball works when you have a crap team. Fox ball works when you have a defense and running game that can Do Things. Otherwise you're just the Browns. Besides, getting Trubisky reps running actual NFL passing concepts is more important than wins and losses I'm sympathetic to that argument. That's different from "they're more likely to lose because of the play-calling."
  13. Oh look, they opened it up and two straight balls should have been picked.
  14. Instead we're losing by 11. Conservative game plan = closer losses but ones that have a higher probability of occurring. If you're gonna lose any way, should give Mitch more chances to learn something. I definitely don't think he should be slinging it all over the field but they made some very conservative playcalls in saints territory that led them to 3rd and longs and stalled drives. Incorrect. 15. They'd be losing by 24 if they implemented the game plan you guys want.
  16. Dammit Laurens
  17. 7 NFL live throws > 0 NFL live throws, not to mention all the practice time.
  18. I was gonna type "fox is taking a beating for a game plan that worked really well. What do you guys even want? Trubisky throwing 40 times a game for a 35% completion rate as the team dives to 4-12 and Fox gets fired?" Then I realized I guess that is what I want too.
  19. Maybe. I need to see more games where they win without needing balls popping right into their hands for returnable turnovers. You're gonna have good luck days and bad luck days, but winning on two very good luck days in a row probably shouldn't change our opinion of the team too much. Eh, even before they started getting bounces, they were getting their hands and their balls a lot more frequently. I think we can pretty comfortably draw conclusions over 1/3 of the way through the season. OK. My conclusion is that the defense is pretty good and the offense is pure excrement. That might be enough to sneak into the middle of the pack or it might be a top-5 pick. Depends on the bounces.

(fwiw, i'm not changing my opinion based on two weeks. i thought that going into the season.) I don't remember anything particularly lucky or unlucky about that game, which they lost.

  22. Fuller has been so good this year. This is feeling 2001ish
  23. This team has been getting a lot of bounces lately and I don't mind it one bit.
