  1. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how the dead cap hit works, but if you trade Foles, doesn't he actually cost you *more* cap space next year than if you keep him?
  2. Yea, I'm like at 12/2 range tops and that's assuming he plays well the next two weeks. Same, and even that feels like a sentimental overpay. *looks at what it would cost to get rid of Foles* God *dammit* pace
  3. I like the idea of keeping Trubisky around on a bridge deal, but if we're anywhere near transition-tag money, then best of luck to him.
  4. Going 9-7 and being last team out would be very bears
  5. Unreal, but that has to be it. According to reddit, Cardinals lose today, then next week Bears win plus Vikings and Cardinals lose = Bears clinch a week early.
  6. So if the Eagles beat the Cardinals, the Bears will be holding a playoff spot, right? It's unreal to me how much some personnel tweaks on the OL and taking the playcalling away from Nagy has changed the offense.
  7. I am 100% on board with Trubisky as bridge QB for 2021 now
  8. I'm really tired of this defense talking a big game and not showing up at crucial times.
  9. Holy crap, that opening drive. Maybe it really was the playcalling?!
  10. The videos of their swings side by side are amazing and hilarious.
  11. You're making a lot of sense but I don't want to change my mind.
  12. Is the difference between 10th and 20th that big? You're starting to get away from the tail of the bell curve there.
  13. Yeah, same. At this point you've messed up your draft position badly enough that you might as well make the playoffs, even if you're the worst team there. Make it as the 7th seed, Mitchy T leads us to an upset in the wild card round (over the Packers?), then has an absolutely terrible performance in a blowout loss in the second round. Maximum chaos.
  14. But it could also be because of their decision to keep everybody around! For the record, if they do bring in a legit president of football ops I have absolutely no problem with keeping Pace and Nagy this offseason. I could learn to live with it. I do kinda like Nagy, I'm intrigued by what a new football president might do. I really don't like Pace, but maybe he's learned something.
  15. I was out doing other things, then when I came back and saw the box score I was hopeful that Trubisky balled out. Then I saw the long-form highlights and it was all dinks and dunks with YAC. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that's what he was doing.
  16. I could be wrong, but I suspect this is me.
  17. That's what is happening. I'm *trying* not to go out to in, but it's happening anyway. sounds like you're early in your rotation. I think you might be right.
  18. Straight pull. And I can feel myself doing it with my arms, so I think it's club path and not face. If it were face, I'd think it was gonna go straight and then it would mysteriously go left. These, I keep telling myself I'm gonna swing the club path away like going the opposite way with a baseball swing, and but as soon as I make contact I can feel myself yanking a pull (heyo). I think something is getting out of sync between upper body, arms and lower body. Maybe too much arm in the swing? this sounds backwards to me. ball goes direction of face at contact. if it's a straight pull, you're swinging out to in with the face on the swing path. That's what is happening. I'm *trying* not to go out to in, but it's happening anyway.
  19. Is it just a straight pull or do you have a draw/fade with it? Straight pull. And I can feel myself doing it with my arms, so I think it's club path and not face. If it were face, I'd think it was gonna go straight and then it would mysteriously go left. These, I keep telling myself I'm gonna swing the club path away like going the opposite way with a baseball swing, and but as soon as I make contact I can feel myself yanking a pull (heyo). 20. Personal best 37 today, playing from the white tees. I am the world's champion of pull it left, chip on, two putt. I can't shake the pulls. I tried moving it back in my stance a little bit and that helped in warmups, but it was right back (or left back) to it in the round.
  21. I pull-hooked my first drive today, but it went into the creek on the other side of a tree that is 211 yards from the tee box, and I almost always slice on that hole, so I'm weirdly happy with it.
  22. Cutting everyone to make room to pay Dak Prescott $40m a year would be a pretty good monkey's paw twist on my "I just want a franchise QB no matter what" tkae.
  23. Brady - 6th round Brees - 2nd round Wilson - 3rd round Roethlisberger - 11th overall Mahomes - 10th overall Rodgers - 24th overall You definitely don't need to get into the top-5 picks to get your QB.
  24. Even if NFL hell isn't real I don't care. I would rather see the franchise burn and fold than go through another decade of "hey the defense is pretty good, too be about the QB"
  25. OK fine if we can get Mitch on a cheap two-year deal I'd rather have him than Foles be the caretaker for our next QB
