    Khabibulin didn't have a good series against Vancouver. But I don't think that automatically means he's going to do the same against Detroit or (plzplzplzplzplzplz) Anaheim. He was very solid for most of the Calgary series.

    :( NHL box score seems to have taken away an assist from Kane. "Only" a hat trick in the biggest game of his career.

    Oh man, while I'm thinking about it, Brian Campbell. He was awesome the last three games of the series. Absolutely awesome. I like him more than some, but he can be maddening and I've called his contract the biggest impediment to this core winning a Cup, but he deserves praise right now.

    Exactly. When Detroit had an reason to play, they made the Hawks look bad with ease. I'd be shocked and happy with taking it to six against Detroit. You called for the Hawks to lose this series. I'm not shocked that you'd be shocked if this series went six. I was wrong about that, but it'd be unfair to try to paint this as me being pessimistic. I was quite sure they'd beat Calgary, even when people on here were freaking out that it was 2-2. If we get Anaheim, I think we win that series. If we get to the Cup finals, I think we have a decent shot against any of them. But I thought Vancouver was a bad matchup for us and I think Detroit is just plain better.

    Okay. What do I even say that game. First of all, five goals from the two guys my due-in-August first son is named after. Patrick Kane can play in the playoffs. I'm trying to think of a better backhanded shot ever than Kane's third goal, and I can't. That was without a doubt the best hockey game I have ever seen.

    There are two teams on the ice. When the Blackhawks come back from behind, it's because they are awesome. But when Vancouver does it, it's because the Blackhawks suck? No. Sometimes the other team does things well. jesus, we don't need a lesson in the philosophy of winning and losing. but thanks, i didn't realize that other teams were good we sucked compared to them and that's all that mattered. It's a legit distinction. Sometimes you lose because you make mistakes, sometimes you lose because the other team just makes good plays.

    I love how defensively sound the Hawks have been this period. Vancouver looks like they are getting chances, but they just aren't getting to the net.

    I'm glad to get out of that period tied. Vancouver looked really good the last 11 or 12 minutes.

    Hawks just got away with a high stick and later an interference to spring the 2-on-1.

    I'd like to see a replay, but I suspect that was just awful luck for the Hawks.

    Definitely a bad goal on Khabibulin. Was Walker the D who wasn't back on the play? Color me shocked.
