    I watch quite a bit of hockey. The fighting is stupid. It's not going anywhere for a long time, because it's so ingrained in the culture, but it's pointless.

    After watching it 9 million times I agree it was a "clean" hit by the rulebook. However, Kronwall should know better... that was incredibly dangerous and I'm glad he got 5 for it but I don't think he should have. That being said, I hope someone knocks him into next month in tomorrow's game. Well, the nice thing about the rulebook is that it's incredibly vague. If you wanted to, and the refs did, you could call that charging (which is written so vaguely that almost any hit could be called it), you could call it interference (until he touches the puck, he's not considered in possession, even though it's at his feet), and you could call it intent to injure.

    The pic of his skates in the air is clearly post-contact. At the time of contact, his skates were on the ice.

    The Blackhawks have definitely played them evenish the last two games. Not at all outclassed.

    The Wings were completely and totally gassed by the end of that game. and now it's a quick turnaround to Sunday afternoon. Still a chance, still a chance.

    Oh, I get it. I thought you meant they were definitely going to lose the game and the season is over. I agree, if they lose tonight, that's it.

    They don't win this game... season over. I can say that with 150% confidence. I'm not sure if it's better for you if you really believe that or if you don't. When was the last team to come back from a 3-0 deficit? 3-0? Don't know. But I recall a team choking a 4-1 lead at home in the first round and still winning.

    Right, but nobody is even close to getting past them. Least of all Kane. I know the guy scores goals in spurts, and he's truly dynamic when given open ice. But at this point, he's nearly useless out there. Totally pushed around. The one check he tried to throw, he bounced off the guy and nearly fell down. The defense has him completely wrapped up. And to boot, he gives little to no effort in the defensive zone and doesn't backcheck at all. Get him off the ice. In general, I agree with you about his style of play. But I thought he's been good tonight. Grabbed some loose pucks, even came close to getting into some board battles.

    Either the Blackhawks score the next goal and they have a small chance in the series, or they don't and they don't. Not much you can do now but hope for a good bounce.
