Leadoff guy gets a bunt single, then steals 2nd. The 2nd hitter hits a groundball to 2B to move the runner to third. 3rd hitter knocks him in with a sac fly. What's so complicated about that? It's not complicated. It's not smart either. I don't think you understand. The 2nd hitter has to be able to ground out to the 2nd baseman to advance runners. That's baseball. We had like the world leader in that. Only cost us 3 pitchers.

They won't need a full bullpen. They should carry an extra hitter on the 25man. -
The Chargers made the playoffs after being 4-8 a couple years ago but they probably weren't a realistic chance until they were 6-8. 7-9 looks more and more likely to win that division. With two head to head games left between the 3 it seems like it would be inevitable that one of those teams would get to 8 but I just don't see which team it would be. Yes, most likely. Seattle is going to lose the next two (vs. Atlanta, at Tampa). San Francisco is going to lose at San Diego. The Rams will probably lose to Kansas City. Entering Week 17, I think the Rams will be 7-8, the Seahawks will be 6-9 and the Niners will be 5-10. But week 16 is Niners @ Rams, which is probably a toss-up. If SF wins @STL in 2 weeks, then its likely all 3 teams will be 6-9 going into week 17, with STL @ SEA and ARI @ SF that week.

i'm hoping STL hosts the bears somehow in the first round, which would be the easiest route to 2nd round and give me chance to go. also, i've been in stl almost as long as the rams. they arent going to put up too much of a fight getting moved to the AFC south if that is the plan. they really lack a natural rival, other than maybe SEA because they were both good at the same time earlier this decade. the 49ers rivalry is mostly media driven and a hangover from their LA days.

how many offensive rebounds will we give up against OSU, 15? they looked scary against a big, athletic FSU. what do you guys think about head's playing time, seems like we never see him.

yep, he will get abused by teams with any size whatsoever. he's not even very good offensively around the basket anymore. we may need to start leonard at some point. watching the wisky game yesterday, i cant help but think their C will destroy us, too. It seemed like we used to always have a wide bodied 6'9", average C with no offensive skills to play some d and get some boards. the lack of one now may be the critical weakness that dooms them to 4-6th in the conference and not making the sweet 16.
