    Anyone with some insight. I've always wondered this, and if its possible to intentionally swing at a wild pitch with 2 strikes and run to first. It's possible, but you've gotta be real quick on your feet to recognize that pitch is going to the backstop. I used to do the other thing you were talking about when I'd get IBBd in coed softball. Swing on the first 2 to go down 0-2 in the count. This was of course not baseball though. My thing is I think guys should let infield fly rule pop ups drop. I'd figure at least 5 times a year you'd have some dumb guy getting doubled off since they don't understand the rule. there's no point in catching them, right?

    carp had his labrum repaired back with the blue jays.

    before the game i think they said carp had bone spurs removed in april, and tjs in july. that would put his recovery at 12-13 months.

    it seems like kobe's trying to do to much. i've seen too many unnecessary passes, and saving the ball under the other teams basket is never a good idea at any level. ETA: James is ridiculous

    he probably wont be a leadoff man for more than the next 2-3 years. his stats as a OF are not going to do it.

    He was placed on Daytona's DL today with back spasms. thats not good. will he be called up in sept or is that a waste of time?

    i'm 30 miles west of downtown, and we havent had a drop today. although theres lightning and its really looking ready to pour. edit: west of downtown, not east

    jeter got a webgem yesterday on a play in which 1) no outs were recorded, and 2) was not a remarkable play. there werent many games to chose from, though. i did enjoy all the bonus coverage yesterday during the delay.

    heres a problem that might not be improtant. what happens to the AAA team that gets displaced when a mlb team gets put in to portland or indy? i assume the parent club would get cash, and relocate to the non AAA city of their choice.

    i'm stuck watching alot of cardinal baseball, and i've always been impressed by his defense. he's very aggressive and accurate when throw at other bases, and he's smooth with everything he gets to. his range may be questionable but thats tough to judge from tv.
