  1. A day after Greg Maddux proved he was masterful, the Cubs have another afternoon bout with the drunken ones from up north. Glendon Rusch http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20050906/rusch_83190.jpg takes on Doug http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_150277.jpg "Who Drew on My Chin?" Davis. Rusch has been pretty bad this year as he brings a 1-3 record and 6.41 ERA into the game. On the bright side, his opponent has been worse with an 0-2 record and a 7.66 ERA. Luckily for Rusch, the Brewers haven't hit especially well against him...at least with the exception of Carlos Lee. Of course the Cubs haven't hit Davis particularly well either, but that's going to change tomorrow. So, it's time for another Cubs victory....if we could just get Glendon out of the pool. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/100_0247.jpg Come on Glendon, you have a game to pitch! I like the Cubs chances because Glendon Rusch is 1-1 in games in which he doesn't allow a HR to Bronson Arroyo. He's also 1-0 when facing pitchers with a higher ERA than his. This one smells like a victory....which Rusch says smells like fried chicken. So, hop on the Glendon Rusch BandWGN http://www.jonmdavis.net/ruschbandwgn.jpg and let's hope he gets a little help from his friends... http://www.jonmdavis.net/ruschpark.jpg And it will be time for one of these--->http://clarkstreetsports.com/images/FL01(3).jpg
  2. Cubs win! Ok, I'm off to pick up my daughter. I'll get the next thread up tonight.
  3. He's almost up to what he hit last season.
  4. OH....goony, you HAD to go there, didn't you? There's a Jim Edmonds joke in here somewhere... Let's not. I'd prefer if K-town stayed out of the game threads.
  5. Still looking for someone to photoshop a pic for me. Uber isn't online.
  6. I could still use some photoshop assistance from those that are skilled.
  7. Pitchers aren't voted on. I'll be doing somewhere around 50-150 a day... I'll try to keep a tally of what I do in this thread. BTW, I own my own domain name with a master email address that catches anything@mydomain.com lol. No problems with the email address issue here. I'll put you down for 100/day. Thanks!
  8. You can vote 25X per email address. Once you've used up all your email addresses, just use the addresses from the people trying enlarge your penis.
  9. Got you marked down for 100/day. BTW, I've already done 50 today. If I can do it, you can too!
  10. I had Aramis in the place of Cedeno. Maybe we should add Cedeno too.
  11. Alright. First, can I get this stickied! Secondly, we need to decide which players we'll focus on. My feelings are Walker, Ramirez, Barrett, and Murton. Feel free to vote all Cubs if you want, but those I think are deserving. (I feel so sick that Lee is hurt!) Anyway...here's the plan. Post your pledges in this thread. I'll keep up with them and add the pledges to this post. Third, if you need email addresses, use the ones from your junk folder. I'm asking people to pledge a minimum of 25 votes a day. That would take maybe five minutes with a high speed connection. 100 votes a day would be ideal. If we can get 1000 people on this, we could do 25,000 votes a day. We can adjust strategy as we need it. Pledges: 1. vance- 100 votes/day 2. Garwilly- 100 votes/day 3. Bixby- 100 votes/day 4.HHHBK21- 100 votes/day 5. RyCubsFan 25 votes/day 6. cubs121 100 votes/day 7. Serena 100 votes/day 8. ConstableRabbit 25 votes/day 9. soccer10k 50 votes/day 10. IMB 25/day 11. Mark_R 25 votes/day 12. IWU_CUBS_FAN 25 votes/day 13. Is_Pedro_There 100 votes/day 14. macuser1 25 votes/day 15. SouthSideRyan 25 votes/day Total: 900 votes/day
  12. If you have the fastest guy on the team already in scoring position I think it's time to let your #2 hitter swing away. not true...if cedeno pops out, then either walker or ramirez need to get a hit to drive him in...when cedeno moved him over, it allowed walker to drive one to the outfield, and have pierre test the OFs arms That's small-ball thinking. Not my style. I'm not one to think small ball either, but with Maddux on the mound and the wind blowing in playing for one run isn't that bad a thought.
  13. I don't have a problem with the bunt in that situation. Even if Cedeno is out, you move Pierre to third with one out and Walker who makes good contact coming up. On a day with the wind blowing in and Maddux on the mound, getting that third run is a big thing. Playing for one run like that on a day like today isn't too bad a decision.
  14. I need some help with a photoshop if anyone is interested....
  15. Link I heard this article mentioned by Len on the broadcast and looked it up. Great read! A few nice quotes:
