  1. Even King James couldn't stop the Mavs last night. 14 in a row!!! Re-Dirk-ulous!
  2. He's not upset about money-he's still upset about Payton holding him out of the NFC Championship game. I think it's still the coaches call on allowing injured players to play, but Horn has done so much for them that if he says he's ready to go I'm not sure that they shouldn't have just trusted him and at least go out there and try for a quarter. If the coach thinks that the receiver isn't healthy enough to be as good as the team's other WR options, then he shouldn't put him in the lineup. You don't want to be experimenting to see if a guy is good to go in the NFC championship game. Plus, it'd be a guy with a balky groin, playing in cold weather on a terrible field. I wouldn't have felt too good putting him in that situation and feeling like he'd succeed. I understand the sentiment, but Horn felt he was good enough to go out there and play. Horn also gave his heart and soul for that team. My guess is Horn felt he had earned the right to play in the biggest game ever played by the franchise. He was hurt and insulted by that. He may have a clouded view of what Payton was doing, but his hurt is understandable, especially if he felt he was physically able to play.
  3. Another reason why I hope the Cubs sign him to an extension.
  4. Horn took a parting shot at the Saints on his way out. http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=256142
  5. So, are we turning this into a league, or what?
  6. I guess that will end the Jeff Garcia signing with Tampa rumors. Well according to the NFL Network, Plummer has retired in lieu of being traded to Tampa. So not only is there no deal, but those rumors of Garcia to Tampa are probably back on. Well, that's an interesting wrinkle, isn't it?
  7. I guess that will end the Jeff Garcia signing with Tampa rumors.
  8. I need to have a discussion with XM about this.
  9. With the Ramirez contract signed, the only way Arod becomes a Cub is if he can still play SS. So, the question arises, can he?
  10. Jim Hendry hasn't ever damaged my ear drums quite like Woo, though.
  11. The Cowboys cut Bledsoe, Steelers cut Porter, and Saints cut Horn. My nephew is upset. Horn was his favorite player on the Saints. After every game, Horn would take time to talk to the fans and sign autographs. Here's a couple of pics of my nephew with Horn after practice at Traing Camp. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/thomasandjoe2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/thomasandjoe1.jpg
  12. Tickets arrived today. I'm going to start sending them out on Monday to those who have paid. Please if you haven't paid, try to do so ASAP. I still have a few seats left for those interested. Here's what I have: Sec 218 ($40/ticket) Vance and family - 11 tickets (pd...obviously. ) Fred- 2 tickets Sec 221 ($40/ ticket) hardcorecubfan- 2 tickets Sec 14 ($42/ticket) Abe_Frohman- 4 tickets (pd) I still have three seats in section 218 ($40/ticket) and I have four seats in section 214 (second level, but not club seating) for $18 a ticket. These prices are $5 cheaper than the box office and also don't include the service charges you pay when you buy online. Let me know if anyone is interested. If you've sent payment and I haven't marked you paid, please let me know so I can be on the look-out for it. Also, I was able to get some tickets in Section 233, also Club Level. I have about five of those if anyone wants them. They are also $40. Let me know.
  13. That's great! Jim should have asked him to knock it off for a season.
  14. Sounds like Aramis gave that one a ride, but to no avail.
  15. I agree, Ron. The #2 spot is perfect for Murton.
  16. The Brewers will be fun to watch, but unless everyone takes a step-up, I think they are at least a year away.
  17. At second base, DeRosa is going to be good defensively. I just hope he can hit.
  18. Hopefully that's not an omen of things to come with Marquis.
