  1. Just as I finished typing this, I found a small note at the end of a BP article by John Perrotto. Link. He states nothing else about it, so I still have my doubts. I'd love to see Bruce or another beat writer give us some info on this in the near future.
  2. As I mentioned in my blog, the most pressing question for me as we approach Opening Day is Zambrano's contract. The roster is set. The team looks ready to play. We're all eagerly awaiting the season's begin. We're one week from the deadline to get Zambrano sign or else wait until the end of the season. Other than Z's off the cuff remark, no one has talked about this. I've seen nothing indicating Hendry is talking to Praver to get something done. So, is it looking like Zambrano is headed towards free agency?
  3. I don't care what the line-ups look like as long as the team is ready for opening day.
  4. As of now, I have a few extra Club seats for Wed game. Let me know if you're interested.
  5. Cedeno has earned the final spot on the bench.
  6. I think it may have been the fellas at the News-Star as they were trying to disrupt my vote gathering efforts.
  7. I think DeRosa is better at third than he is at second.
  8. Ok, cool. Still, if you have any data you'd like to share, I'll take it. I don't think the audience there is that sophisticated, so probably I'll dumb down a lot of what I write.
  9. I have still have some tickets to both the Tues and Wed night game. PM me for details if you're interested.
  10. You assume my math skills are strong enough to put that together. There's a reason I have a teaching certification in English/Language Arts and my first college degree was Religion/History. If you have some data you'd like to share, I might dumb it down for my readers though. Ha! Maybe I should pay you to proofread my terrible grammar. If you give me time, I don't mind proofing something for you. It all depends on how much I've already done in my grading.
  11. Many of them are used as extended spring complexes. Some I think are used for rookie leagues after the draft in June.
  12. Lilly needs to keep the ball down. He's pitching up in the zone too much.
  13. Lilly walking the first hitter is not a good sign.
  14. Anybody know how much that Disney vacation with the Cubs costs?
  15. Nice! Now you have two blogs to write. ;) I plan on getting to work on something in the near future. I'll also try to keep up with the re-caps this year if that's something you want me to do. I can help you out on those sometimes as well if you want. I work at night so most of my afternoons are free. Or I could do the games you won't be able to watch and get a recap up for. Just let me know either way. With Tim's approval, your help is accepted. I have Tivo, so that helps me catch up...but there are some games I can't do...specifically when I go out of town to watch the Cubs since I don't have a lap top.
  16. And btw, Karylon Thorton is a straight-A student! :D
  17. I just want to add this quote from the article... Apparently they have problems with spelling and basic math.
  18. I have a feeling this could be the last year of the poll. Of course, they underestimate my ability to gather votes from the masses. We'll see what happens next year.
