  1. Mosely has some humorous comments about the Steelers picking Daniel Sepulveda.
  2. Anyone know anything about these two DB's? I know Payne's agent...played little league with him.
  3. Wow...I expected him to go late sixth or seventh. I think you might like this kid. He's raw, but could be good.
  4. I like the depth we added to the O-line in this draft. Troy Smith is still out there for a project QB.
  5. With tonight's game postponed, it's possible the Cubs could readjust the rotation. A fifth starter might not be needed as soon as we thought.
  6. It's a good value pick, but I wouldn't think the Saints needed a RB.
  7. Good pick for Tampa there with Jackson.
  8. Well, I guess we won't take Smith now. What do people know about Stanback? He sounds like he's got quite a bit of raw talent, but is very unrefined as a QB. ESPN says he'll be a WR in the NFL. Maybe we'll still take Smith.
  9. Well, I guess we won't take Smith now. What do people know about Stanback?
  10. A little early to select a punter, imo.
  11. My predictions for today: Cowboys will select Troy Smith with a fourth rounder and Daniel Sepulveda with a seventh rounder.
  12. Raiders select Michael Bush, RB
  13. I'm looking for the Cowboys to take Troy Smith with one of their fourth round picks.
  14. My guess is Eyre will be relegated to mop up duty for a few appearances. If he functions well there, he may work his way back into more crucial situations. If he fails there, he may end up with a "phantom" injury which would allow the Cubs to replace him with either Marmol or Rapada.
  15. Cleveland had a bad bullpen as did Atlanta. Texas I think scored lots at home but didn't fare as well on the road.
  16. Wow....Pats are going to be scary good next year with Brady throwing to Stallworth and Moss with Maroney in the backfield. Look out!
  17. I had figured the only reason Walker started the year at AA was because Pie started at AAA so I'm not surprised to see him move up. I am surprised that they waited over a week after Pie's promotion to do it. I wonder if he will stay at AAA if Pie is sent back down.
  18. Agreed. He has had as bad a start as imaginable.
  19. I figured the best the Cowboys might get from the drop would be Cleveland's first next year and a third rounder this year. Had that happened, they wouldn't have been able to trade back into the first round. I thought we might even take Clevelands's 2nd and 3rd and maybe a second next year. When we recieved both the second rounder and next year's first, I was ecstatic. I wasn't as pleased with who the Cowboys moved back up to take, but I'm going to trust that Phillips and the Cowboys scouts know what they are doing. I hope the Cowboys have a great season, but I can imagine how pumped I may be heading into next year's draft. Here's to the Browns winning one game next season.
  20. I'd be watching to see which LSU players get picked, but hell....they all went in the first round. :)
  21. I'd prefer we stick with an eleven man pitching staff and send Cherry back down.
  22. Maybe the NFL knows what we've been saying all along....ND is overrated! Furthermore, the guy at the ranchreport said he spoke to an NFL scout who said several teams had Quinn rated as a second round talent. I think many teams were concerned with his throwing accuracy. Whether they are right or not remains to be seen. I'm elated he fell because it allowed the Cowboys to get the player they wanted and essientially trade a 3 and 5 rounder in this year's draft for next year's 1st which could be a top 5-10 pick. That is a steal. I think teams had a legitimate concern about Quinn and when you consider the money that first round QB's get, they passed. I do think the Dolphins were moronic for taking Ginn, but not because they passed on Quinn to do so.
  23. I thought the reporter was about to start shouting to Tony, "Get in my belly!"
  24. I'm pleased as well. I wasn't too enamored with Spencer, but if that's who they targeted, they did a nice job getting their guy while stockpiling an extra first tounder for next year. I like the pick of Marten as he gives us depth at OL and he'll have at least a year to learn the scheme and bulk up some. I'm just so elated about getting Cleveland's first rounder that it really didn't matter much who we picked. Looking ahead to next year really excites me. Here's just a few players that we could have a choice of next season: Darren McFadden RB Arkansas Jared Gaither OT Maryland Brian Brohm QB Louisville Glenn Dorsey DT LSU Kenny Phillips S Miami (FL) Jake Long OT Michigan DeSean Jackson WR California Mario Manningham WR Michigan Franklin Okam DT Texas Sam Baker OT USC McFadden, plz! My favorite teams are now the Cowboys and whoever is playing Cleveland.
  25. Maybe it's about time for Floyd's first injury of the year.
