Call 2006 a fluke season. 172/261/253- 03 265/329/464- 04 274/333/512- 05 Assuming 2006 was a fluke, and looking at the three seasons prior to that one, Dye is an average, but not great hitter. Given that he's gotten older, the best we could hope from Dye is probably 260/320/450. I think we could get the same production from Murton if we called him back up. I just don't think Dye is the answer. If Kenny wants to trade him for Ryan Harvey or Brian Dopirak or Matt Craig or Gary Cates or someone like that, sure. But if he's asking for anyone worth a damn, we'd probably do better to acquire Ausmus to upgrade the catching position or go after Kenny Lofton to improve our production in CF.
