  1. VTech just blocked an extra point and ran it back for 2.
  2. VaTech gets on the board...10-7.
  3. BC leading VaTech 10-0 in the second quarter.
  4. The link to the Miles article also says Pelini is leaving for Nebraska. The article also states that the agreement with Miles was reached yesterday. It seems LSU preferred to wait and hash everything out after the game today, but with ESPN reporting Miles was leaving felt they needed to go ahead and finalize things today. My guess Pelini's decision to leave for Nebraska was in part because he knew the LSU job would not be available.
  5. Link. I think this will help your boys tonight too knowing their coach is going to stay. In all honesty I kid around with your program but it's a heck of a program and it's really surprising that there has been that much turnover. Well, the turn-over came because we hired the mercenary, Nick Saban. But for all the hate, Saban has received in these parts, he put the program back in the national spotlight. He showed his successors what can happen when you use the fact that LSU is the only major program in the state as a recruiting tool. I'm neutral on Miles. I think he's a great recruiter. I question some of his coaching decisions. I'm going to hate losing Pelini, so I hope an adequate replacement is found. I'm glad Miles is staying because it helps with the stability of the program, but I wanted Butch Davis when they hired Miles and I still wish they had pushed for him instead. I wonder what the chances are that ya'll bring in Tenuta? What with the rumors he was heading to Ann Arbor with Miles, I wonder if there was a connection between him and Miles or him and Michigan? He's easily one of the best D-coordinators in the game, so I kinda hope ya'll don't get him. Maybe he is on his way...we'll see. I was upset when we lost Fisher to Florida State. I'm not really sold on our OC either, but I guess we're stuck with him.
  6. First the Warhawk football team beats Bama at Bama and now the basketball team beats Iowa at home! Go Warhawks! Of course, this just means we'll lose coach Orlando Early to a big time program in the offseason.

  8. Bertman confirms it. Link.
  9. Here's an article that discusses the Padres interest in Prior. Link.
  10. Sure sounds like your head coach used his alma mater to screw you out of millions. I'm not having to pay any of it... and it was always believed that if Michigan called, LSU would step up and pay him. He wasn't making nearly what Saban made while he was here.
  11. From the Ann Arbor News... Link
  12. Now the article has Miles will announce he's staying at LSU..... who really knows anymore.
  13. ESPN has a headline "Miles Staying at LSU", but when you click the link, the article says he's going to Michigan. So, who knows?
  14. I think if we miss on Fukudome, we'll put the full court press on trying to trade for Crawford. We may then use the money to try to replace Rich Hill in the rotation since he'd have to be used to get Crawford.
  15. It's at least on the same level.
  16. It looks like if we don't get Fukudome, the Cubs will look to make a trade. Link
  17. From Bruce's article in the Daily Herald... Link. That's our very own Jim Hendry there folk....looking for someone left-handed who can run. Oh Jesus!

  20. Ha ha! Cards paying 2.85 million for Izturis! Astros with Matsui; Cards with Izturis; This is awesome!
  21. I think there will be a buzz in LSU to bring Fisher back as HC if Miles leaves. I've already heard as much from some people who have some connections there. On the other hand, I've heard some that are opposed to Fisher coming back since he left for basically the same position somewhere else.
  22. Just like how Favre was undefeated when the temperature was less than 34 degrees and we had the Falcons at home in the playoffs when it was freezing. We all know what happened then. Yeah, Michael Vick raped the Pack's defense. You aren't really going to argue that a Packer failure that broke a weather trend is the same thing as winning a game in a building where the Pack has never won, against a version of the opponent that is better than any version the Pack has ever faced in that building? Are you? I like this year's Cowboys team, but I'm not sure if they are better than the Aikman-Smith-Irvin version.
