    I don't think playing at the cell would keep me from making my annual trip there.

    Chance definitely deserved to be on the ballot. I think this one should be locked and let's start over with firstbase with Chance on there. Chance is in the HOF; Grace and Lee likely won't get there. You can debate Chance's merits until the cows come home, but his omission in this poll is glaring. Including him, may or may not change my vote, but it's ludicrous that he isn't an option.

    I think Leodis McKelvin could end up being the first corner taken. I think it would be a stretch over DRC. I could see someone maybe taking him over Talib due to his return abilities, but there are serious questions about his ability to tackle and be physical. I've seen several sites that have both McKelvin and Talib rated above DRC. All three will be good corners in my opinion. I'm not a scout, nor have I seen McKelvin play, but based on what I've read, I don't think DRC will be selected ahead of either McKelvin or Talib. Personally, I hope the Cowboys draft one of those three with one of their first round picks.

    Let's compare Derosa to Roberts. 2007- Derosa 293/371/420 Roberts 290/377/432 2006- DeRosa .296/357/456 Roberts 286/347/410 Over the past couple of seasons, the only thing Roberts offers over DeRosa is more stolen bases. Are those stolen bases worth Gallagher + others to acquire? I'm so certain.

    No love for Ron Cey? How about Steve Buechelle? Kevin Orie and Jose Hernandez are disappointed as well.

    There's also a Best Western about a mile from the park as well. I stayed at the City Suites on Belmont which is closer than the Days Inn. It was nice, but the rooms were small. However, they have significantly raised their rates since last summer.

    I am midly upset that Ced Landrum and Scott Bullett weren't up for consideration.

    The vote for Sosa was easy. Billy was an easy second. The third vote was a little more difficult.

    Dawson was held out of the combine for a medical reason. I'm not sure on the details, but I read it this morning. It's dissapointing as it could hurt his chances of being drafted.

    I know a lot of people have interest in guys who were once part of the Cubs organization. John Sickels wrote about Choi in his failed prospect article. I found it interesting. Maybe I shouldn't open this can of worms, but here goes. Link.

    If basing this only in regards to the years they were Cubs, I just don't understand Maddux hanging with Fergie here. Maddux for his career was a better pitcher than anyone on this list, but if you take out those Braves years, he's likely 3-4 on the list.

    I doubt Jones trades up for him. The cost is too much. I could end up surprised, but the talk out of Dallas is that the Cowboys will not move up.
