I prefer not to think of the possibility of signing Edmonds. It would be like me thinking, let me plan if I get hit by a car tomorrow what would I do without legs. It might happen, but I'd prefer just to deal with the possibility if it happens. -

Importance of Velocity vs Location

I remember reading somewhere that Maddux once said location and movement is always more important than velocity. -
Yeah. we definitely should meet. I'll be at the park early, but I'm not sure how early I can line-up as I'm going to the meet the team, have a ball event before the game. And Tony if you know some hot chicks with loose morals, they can have my extras for free! lol

I'm proud to say the Cubs are 2-0 in 2008 games that I've attended, which is much better than what I witnessed in 2007. Let's hope the streak continues tonight!

Importance of Velocity vs Location

Just my personal viewpoint, which may not mean much, is that location is always more important. However, pitchers with better velocity can make more mistakes. And I think the inside and outside observation is very interesting. -
No, that was Dusty. He doesn't want to admit he's pulled that boneheaded maneuver off twice. Well, that's what I thought. Sportscenter quoted him as saying he'd only seen that happen when he was a player. Wonder if he'll get called on that anywhere but here? :twisted: I'd like to see Baker take the responsibility for once. I'm surprised the players haven't called him out when he says things like this. Remember when the Cubs were so bad at fundamentals when he was here and he kept saying his teams didn't play that way and blamed it on the Cubs players not learning it in the minor leagues?
