  1. The good news out of tonight, is that Justin Berg is going to AAA tomorrow.
  2. Overall, I think Hill is calling a good game so far.
  3. Right over the middle on an 0-2 pitch?
  4. Why? Because the starters overall have been terrible and Riggins isn't ready for the big leagues according to C. Silva.
  5. Quade has to grow a pair and stop being scared to pull Dempster.
  6. Coleman this year: 7.43 ERA .339 BAA 2.03 WHIP Believe it or not he has a worse WHIP than James Russell. Maybe Dolis or J. Jackson should be given a chance?
  7. Marlon Byrd batting 3rd is a joke. At this point Soriano would be a better option.
  8. He's hit the ball hard quite a bit, not just lately. I don't know his babip or LD% off hand, but the eyeball test tells be he's hit into quite a bit of bad luck. Surprisingly his BABIP is .290 which is higher than his career average. His 37.5% K rate is pitiful. It looks like he is playing truly as bad as his numbers indicate and if anything is a bit luckier than he has been in previous years. Colvin on the other hand is sporting a BABIP of .129. I wouldn't mind seeing Quade give Colvin a week of starts and see what happens. It is too early to give up on Pena, but if he doesn't perform I would like to see someone else get a shot.
  9. Amazing, 89 pitches on the day for Stevens. That has to be all for him.
  10. I take it Quade is not worried about Stevens arm. 74 pitches? Might as well leave him out there until his arm falls off.
  11. Ha's numbers so far look terrific. Seems like he came out of nowhere. Was he a top 20 prospect coming into the year? What was his signing bonus? Only negative so far is that he seems clueless on the bases. 2 SB 5 CS.
  12. Not according to thebaseballcube.com They have him at a 12.56 WHIP :banghead: Always thought their stats were reliable. Lesson learned. http://thebaseballcube.com/profile.asp?P=Joseph-Coleman
  13. Nice to see a solid outing out of Coleman, especially considering it was at Coors.
  14. Best game of the year so far! I haven't enjoyed watching NBA basketball since that other MVP used to play for the Bulls.
  15. He is young though. It is great how good he has been this year, and how he has stepped up as a real good role player.
  16. to be fair, this is way funnier than if he'd just admitted his mistake and moved on. Reading is fundamental.
  17. Right, a 2.00 Whip ranks him as the 322nd best pitcher in whip this year.
  18. http://thebaseballcube.com/profile.asp?P=Joseph-Coleman oh well since a website says it, it must be true. by the way, WHIP stands for Walks and Hits per Inning Pitched. so what you are telling us is that he has pitched 5 innings this season and amassed a WHIP of 18.20, meaning that he has allowed 18.20*5 = 91 walks and hits in just 5 innings of work. you'd think the cubs would have removed him from that game a bit earlier, since he apparently went through the brewers' lineup a minimum of 11 times in just 5 innings. Fair enough, Espn.com says his whip is 2.00 does that make it better?
  19. This year..... ERA 7.20 IP 5.0 H 9 WHIP 18.20 Comical... You are making a fool of yourself. And you trying to cherry pick stats are doing the same. Nobody cherry picked anything. 1 person showed you his stats as a starter in the majors. He didn't say this year, or last year, or 10 years prior to that. He specifically said "COLEMANS STATS AS A STARTER IN THE MAJORS" and you said he was making [expletive] up. You are back peddaling and making an even bigger fool of yourself, than if you would have just said "ahh those are his numbers as a starter in the majors, gotcha". But you keep going on and on and wont admit you accused somebody of making up stats, and he did no such thing. Please learn to read. I said use his real numbers. If you want to cherry pick numbers as a starter fine. But I don't think it works like that. His stats include all of his performances. If you want to pretend that he performs better when he only pitches as a starter, fine, make yourself feel better however you want.

  23. Damn CBSsports and making up their stats just cause Coleman had a talented family. Aww do the real stats hurt your feelings? You seem to take it personal? If your happy with a 4.11 era and 1.42 whip in 2010 and 7.20 era and 18.20 whip in 2011 great, but most people aren't. This is comical. The real stats? You mean the ones that were shown to you and you said were made up? And I think you have whos taking it personal reversed No I mean the stats that are actually accurate. Check Espn.com, even your cbssports.com.
